also, lol at random dead Green Arrow
Other than that it looks great! I love how they added "From the makers of MK" at the top. Classy

Thanks to MINION for taking my Siginity!
No Aquaman though, noo :( I have a feeling he will be the final character revealed.

Shao Kahn did nothing wrong
The "Greek statues" mentioned could be part of Wonder Womans island.

I'm not a fan of Wonder Woman but as far as I'm concerned, everything in Themyscira is about women, seeing they are Amazons, and that is a man's head. It could be something Amazon or Greek related nevertheless. Smoke was the final "normal" character revealed in Mortal Kombat 9.
The red in the waist of Superman is probably the designer's small alteration in the painting that won't appear in the actual gameplay. The cover is a bit boring, would have been better without the portraits and with more dead bodies around, not just poor Green Arrow.
Would have preferred the game without The Joker, but knew it was highly unlikely.
The statue's head actually looks symbolic to the Pillars of Herculese, which by legend is the gateway to the actual site of what supposed to be Atlantis. I think it's definitely a reference to Aquaman but could be wrong.
This could lead us to the true threat of the game. I'm in a belief that there will be something bigger than the characters we've seen so far. "Gods Among Us"... considering the Greek statues are in the cover art, they probably hint at the theme of the game. Take into account that the debris isn't just any debris you could find from a ridden city, it's deity related. Perhaps the game will take place in a divine location, ultimately.
The name also makes me think of a purge; as if the gods would be frowned upon and people would want them dead. Previously I thought that "Gods" referred to the metahuman superheroes, but recently we've gotten evidence to consider the Greek gods as the "unfair" threat among more humanly characters. With the high amount of Batman characters, Batman and The Joker will essentially tie in with the greater threat, who is only likely since I doubt this is going to be the last entry of this new series.
Aquaman has got his chances to make it but do you know more about this Atlantis story that could somehow engage with the Injustice story? As for Aquaman, I would rather have seen him on the cover instead of the Joker. That would make the Justice League roster complete... unless the Joker has somehow replaced Aquaman as the last member of JL?
Well, that is, if there's a JL left to speak of in the story. Chances are pretty slim, if Superman and Batman are at odds with one another.
Thanks to MINION for this awesome signature
Not sure if we have to find a deeper meaning to the title. I think it means what everyone thinks it means: superheroes are like gods.
I'm not stating this is about Greek gods though, I just threw that possibility out as well.
The extent in which JLA is involved remains uncertain but the seemingly Watchtower arena gives hope for more.
