damn, missed another good one! oh well, that's what DVD is for LOL! and if this is the last season of the show, then i plan to get it on DVD.
and i think it would be stupid imho, to think it would be someone other than Rosenbaum as Lex, it just wouldn't be right

Yeah, I'll bet almost anything it's the same actor.

You know...One thing I don't like about these past three episodes is that we still have not gotten anything on Lois and Jimmy. There wasn't even a mention of Jimmy from what I remember. I hope this season will be the longest one since there's quite a bit going on with Lex, Doomsday, etc.

well, if the rumors persist to be true, that this may in fact be the last season ever, then one can hope so

Ok, good show tonight very, very interesting.
I find it interesting about the deceit/lying within the "good guys" with Chloe/Clark/Oliver and Lana gig yet all have the same ultimate goal. Deal with Lex....however they all want to go about it differently.
But it's shows like this and incidents with Lex killing his own father that prove he needs to die. Hell....like Oliver said, if it means a better place for the world and Superman especially then hell....murder may be the only option and will be defined as Justice or else keep giving the evil like Lex mercy for him only to keep killing innocents and hurting people.
As for Toyman ha, no surprise he was wrapped around Lex's finger(like everyone else corrupted) but found the whole revenge gig against Oliver somewhat interesting too.
lol, is it me or does the guy that played Toyman sound just like the Cartoon JLU version of Toyman? lmao....the actor played him perfectly.
Anywho, Lex looked fucked up and it sounded like his voice slightly distorted obviously.....I guess we know what he meant by if Lana absorbs the Kryptonite "you'll never be able to touch her again" or have Clark destroy it and risk everyone near it...including himself and lana.
@SubZero, no worries the next few shows will have Lois, Jimmy and Davis more. Even Mercy again, I want to see more Lex though.....seasons half way over already if he doesn't show at least a few more times that will be lame.
JL is supposed to appear also again at some point or a variation I read.
Also, there's supposed to be a show where mercy releases "Lex's superpowered" warriors to do the exact opposite that the JL did in "Justice" a few years back....now I want to see the JL take on Lex's bunch, how cool would it be if that included toyman too lol.
I also read a rumor that at some point Darkseid MIGHT show up but that's not 100% confirmed just a rumor...with Smallville rumors tend to be true at some point keep in mind usually. Ohh yeah, we all know Lex isn't dead. If he doesn't show again it'll be assumed that he "faked his death" because you know Lex can't be dead.
Great show tonight though.

Tonight's episode was interesting...It was better than last week's episode overall. I like the conflict with the whole Chloe/Clark/Oliver thing.
About Toyman, I don't hear any resemblance to the Toyman in JLU. The Toyman in JLU (as well as Superman: TAS) had the whole "creepy child molester" voice quality. The actor who played as Toyman in this episode did a pretty good job, and I liked that he was working for Lex.
Speaking of him, I wanted to see a bit more and to find out more about what was going on with him. I doubt he's dead, otherwise, it could be anti-climatic and would leave questions unanswered.
One question I have is: Couldn't Lana have found a way to disable the bomb?
At least we won't have to see any more Clark/Lana drama, which will lead to Clark/Lois stuff. I really hate that Smallville is once again going on a hiatus. Apparently, it's a month long...*sighs*
To mkflegend: Even though the next few shows will have Lois and Jimmy, it still doesn't sit too well with me that they didn't at least show up in Legion. It's almost as if they forgot about Jimmy. Since this is the 14th episode of season 8, I would hope that there are a lot more episodes in store. There's just so much that needs to develop and unfold.
I would love to see a battle between the JL and Lex's superpowered minions. If Toyman were to return, I'd laugh if he wore the jester mask like in Superfriends.
Toyman: I demand more toys!!!
I'd really like to see more Martian Manhunter. The battle would be incomplete without him, and I wonder if he'll ever get his powers back. I doubt Darkseid would show up, at least in this season. That would be too much and would detract from the story. If they were to do a season 9, maybe...But I think that given the way things are going with this season, 8 will likely be the last.

well of course we know Lex ain't dead, and faked his own death, but it was kinda cool that before his truck went "boom" his good eye, widened with fear a little bit! i was like, hmm, maybe he is dead?! but i said to my Mom last night, it seems kinda cheap to assume he's dead, considering how, over the last 8 seasons, with his resources and money he's "cheated" death like a million times, so it's tough to see how he is dead now, but my Mom thinks maybe he did it, so Clark and friends would leave him alone while he recovers and plots his ultimate revenge!
0
That's a good point your last sentence MKGeek ^ he most likely did do that to perhaps recover and make the JL THINK that....but we all know sooner or later Clark or Oliver someone will figure it out....
@SubZero, it wasn't exactly the same as the cartoon version but the type is the same with that "self banter" talking to himself like a kid with that creepy voice. Very similar lol.
Which mask as you talking about? I'd love it if he wore the Ventriloquist mask from the cartoon shows lmao....he had a dummy there though if you noticed he was talking to ha, ha the one where Lex was watching him.
I like it how Clark and Lex are like officially "enemies" now no more bs or mixed feelings anymore...
Plus, I'm guessing in Smallville's universe this will be the official reason that sets off Clark hating Lex now for good with what he did to lana(giving them a choice) he knew Clark wouldn't and couldn't do it because it would kill people and Clark with the Green K there...
Jimmy btw, remember was only contracted this year to be a part timer(not as much as Lex or Lana) but he wasn't going to be in this show much compared to the previous two years. Same with Supergirl, I wonder if she'll pop up again. The way they left it I'm guessing not...

well, i read something ineteresting today and i thought i'd share it with the "panel of experts" to get your takes on it:
Possible hint at a Season 9??
-- Matt Morgan (wrestler) talks about possibly being cast as Doomsday on the WB show Smallville. Matt originally was trying out for another part. He was too big for the character but when they realized his size they figured he would be great for the part of Doomsday. Unfortunately that part was already cast for Season 8. They are trying to write him into Smallville's 9th season (next fall) as the Doomsday character.

Hmmm...I find that article/interview rather interesting. I smell hints at perhaps a 9th season? We'll see and time will tell but I do hope so. Plus, anyone else here think the music in Smallville rocks most of the time? That show has seriously helped tons of bands, musicians and DJ's lol.
Nice find MKgeek, good work.

thanks, and yeah, the bands that are like indy or otherwise unknown get their music, albeit not always good, played on the show and it helps them maybe sell a few CDs

Yeah, for sure. I know it helped Depeche Mode a lot. I was looking for that song when Brainiac first arrived that was the episode. I looked online there were TONS of people asking what song it was by DM lol.

Ok, FINALLY a new episode...and one I've very much been looking forward to seeing
Should be sick, Clark revealing his powers to the world, lois. I'm liking hehe

It's about time they have a new episode. It was really stupid for them to have us wait a month considering we've already had a couple of months to wait for the beginning of the second half of season 8.

Big update guys....ALL MUST READ, it won't kill anything but promise it's good news
Due to this I predict:
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
SEASON 9 has officially been ANNOUNCED and Smallville will be picked up again by CW network, read here if interested www.kryptonsite.com go to spoilers or the cw11 site

Darkseid anyone? Clark definitely flying by the end of next year and perhaps some kind of costume? Hmmm, more JL people perhaps showing up as well as villians?

Ok, so all ready for tonight? The waiting time(a month) seems like an eternity for a new show....lol

I just got done watching tonight's episode. I liked it quite a bit, and I found it to be very interesting. I don't like the fact that we had to wait a month, but at least we have new episodes again.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
It was interesting to see how life would be like for Clark if he were to reveal his secret. Tori Spelling really knows how to play that nasty villain, but I don't care too much for the Linda Lake character, so I'm glad her character has been offed.
I'm really glad to see Davis back, and it seems that even a slight transformation is causing him to unleash his inner beast. It's interesting how he realized that Clark was the Kryptonian he was sent to destroy, and it's too bad for Clark that he didn't listen to Lois' message completely before putting the Legion ring on.
Speaking of Lois, it was good to finally see her back though it's a shame that the development of the Lois/Clark relationship got nixed due to the time travel act that Clark had to do. We get mentions of Jimmy, but we still haven't seen him yet.
Next week's episode looks interesting though it doesn't seem to show too much, which is kind of good. I'm glad to be seeing Tess again, and it'll be interesting to see what she and Clark talk about. It also looks like an episode in which Clark will come one step closer to flying.
To mkflegend: I'm not really surprised that there is going to be a season 9. I can't imagine how this season is going to end, but I hope it doesn't end in a strange and sort of lackluster way season 7 ended. I doubt that we'll see Darkseid on the show, but you never know. There will probably be more focus on the Kryptonian stuff. I hope that Clark will find some way to restore Jor-El and that we'll see more of Martian Manhunter.

Yep, awesome show tonight....I was hoping it would have been canon with Lois knowing but totally forgot the world knows about Superman but not "Clark Kent being Superman" other then a few people JL, friends, Lois etc
I liked how they hinted with the whole Chloe saying "ever wonder if you told Lois some day everything" which he does eventually all she has to do is keep everything a wrap....
Kind of sad to see Lois and Clark at the end there very emotional, she more or less was saying she was in love with him yet Clark didn't seem to read that.
Yeah, Tori Spelling did a good job playing a bitch lol. I agree, good that she's killed now by DD lol. Always a timeline consequence.....usually in someones death.
It looked like Chloe would have died but we didn't see and will never know with DD ripping up her car, Lois never got a chance to tell him before he put the ring on...
I liked it how Clark went back a few days earlier to that morning and nullified her prior, then she tries to blackmail Davis lol before he turns into DD partially and kills her...lol
I hope he tells lois by the time Smallville ends but if they play it like the comics we won't see it but know it'll happen in the future.
Next week does look good, I think he'll fly partially to be honest if not fully.

he'll likely fly fully, i just don't see any way around it. it's not like there's anyone who could come along and help. as for him telling Lois, then going back and changing things, i was with u on that, i was kinda hopping for it to be canon as well, considering this whole damn show's been canon from day one, not really following comics or the movies

Yeah, although they are overall following the overall storyline canon to the comics as far as "the future and what happens" between Superman, Lois, DD etc.
This I see as a tease for the future...
Your second point, I agree. There may be some kind of more significant consequence for all we know.
Jor-El has to come back some how no doubt, especially since there will be a 9th season officially now.

About Me

i could see Jor-El having a big role perhaps starting with the end of this Season, and perhaps moving on into Season 9, which would then either be the last season or not
0
@MKGeek, yeah I can see something like that perhaps happening but time will have to tell.
Ok, tonights show was interesting because we finally see jimmy after a month+hiatus lol. Jimmy darker then ever I must say, I had a feeling he was being drugged by Davis/DD to cover up his "Vigilante killings" in an attempt to control himself and try to do Justice in his eyes...
Chloe hugging Davis was like the final straw I think....after all the stuff he put up with concerning Clark and Chloe(even though there was nothing going on there when he got involved) he was jealous, Davis I'll admit at least he has good reason to be....
Chloe lying to Jimmy about that kiss IMO was a big mistake, Jimmy just has that gut feeling anyway....but I'm sure if that comes out he'd definitely not go back to Chloe(which I don't think will happen anyway but we'll see)
Jimmy leaves Chloe...Chloe is crying and heartbroken, most likely will run to Davis...I find it rather interesting that she's also keeping that part away from Clark(who she shares everything with just about at some point)
As for Clark/Tess gig, ok so Tess is still sneaky and scheming...not to the point of Lex but she still has a darker side to her with testing out Clark. She knows he's lying and withholding something, Clark is smart enough to know she suspects and might know something.
I wonder if Oliver will investigate his plane taking a coinveinent "nosedive" with Clark happen to be there lol.
Speaking of which, where the hell is Oliver? About time for him to pop up again and MMH?
Although from the trailers last week it looks like Clark would fly but he didn't...I don't think.
Lastly, Davis apparently can somewhat control his "Doomsday side" but for how long?
All in all it was a good show tonight, we learned some key things.
As for next week...
Damn..the chick playing Zatanna is HOT!!!!!!!
Yum yum...looks just like her too lol. Should be cool to see next week.
I'm curious about that, but also curious about DoomsDay aka Davis and Clark aka Superman confronting each other.
DD:Hi clark, what's up? so guess what I found out today?
Superman: What's that?
DD:That you're the other Kryptonian I was sent here to kill...
Superman:Really? Well that sucks...I won't let that happen.
DD: Well, I don't want to but I'll have to kill you...
Superman: Well, I'll have to kill you first..
Future happens....we all know both die lol, then come back later on...
lol, in all seriousness I'm looking forward more to that then the Zatanna thing.
Also, was I seeing things or did I FINALLY see...
