PLEASE explain why people want Red Hood.
Luca kind of has a point though in a round-a-bout way. They may only like him from the movie but I say so what. You really shouldn't have to justify why you like them or think they're worthy of being playable.
I think most peoples only exposure to Static Shock was the cartoon but that-to me doesn't make them bad fans. They still like him even if it's from that one thing.
I think that's fine.

*real cough* Power Girl *drinks water*
Honestly there is nothing wrong with liking characters no matter where your source.
Me I learned liking Nightwing from TT and even more from Arkham City (always play Arena w/him).
Ill admit I got some JT Hood exposure from Battle for the Cowl and then the Redhood movie in same month (last late august)
I also gained new exposure to characters like Green Arrow from TV (now he my 2nd fav).
I knew of Zatanna fro Batman TAS in my earlier years but then grew fond of her (hallo)! after Young Justice.
Therefore if som people like, say Jason Todd Redhood because of a movie, hurray he got some exposure (and Jensen Ackles fans). I even got N52 Redhood just to give it a whirl!

Exactly,a lot of characters are getting fans in interesting way outside of comics, even though I wished the millions of people would try picking up a graphic novel now and then,I'm not going to call them bad fans,I'm just going be alright with that. I wonder how many people are going to love Thomas Wayne batman once people buy the flashpoint paradox? Probably a few.

I'd love to have seen Buddy Baker aka Animal Man,
And with his rising new 52 popularity in recent years (and that Ed Boon tweet) I thought perhaps we might see him...but don't think so now
His powers would be so interesting to see in this game,
and his special could be a big jumangi style stampeede
