I did notice that, it was a cool addition. One thing I also commend is the soundtrack. I usually enjoy most of Hans Zimmer's work but this soundtrack worked brilliantly with the film.

Just got back from seeing it with my dad for Father's Day. It's the best Superman movie in recent years. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to see what they do next with it. Finally a reboot worthy of the name Superman.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I also really like when I saw Lexcorp on the tanker and Wayne Enterprises on the satellite during the Zod/Supes showdown.

Very cool.

Thought it was kinda meh. The first halfish was good but I didn't really feel the last bit.

I'm going to see it this Wednesday. Looking forward to it. smile

EDIT: I have just seen the movie... I'd give it 3/5 max.

THE NEGATIVES:
Definite #1 - the Lois and Supes (pretty much) instant romance felt so pushed and unnatural to me, I didn't like it at all. Actually the whole movie kinda felt "in a rush" after the Kryptonian intro.
The camera work put me off quite a few times, especially during the fight scenes where they overused those camera tricks to hide physical contacts during battle.
WTF did they do to the Phantom zone? I was so excited to see it in the form of a mirror. What a bummer!
Why is everything Kryptonian so gray/dark? The whole movie kind of lacked color. Too much of SF stuff for my taste, wtf is with all those nano-particles all over the place.
I guess we'll see more of grown-up clumsy Clark Kent wearing glasses in sequels, but I would have liked to see a bit more of him, especially since Supes in this movie comes off as kind of bland to me personality-wise.

THE POSITIVES:
Martha Kent (she actually has a lovely personality that at least to some extent manages to add some color to this overall very gray film, Jor-El (he was just alright) and General Zod (the final act saved him when he revealed his origin and why he's doing all the stuff that he's doing).
I spotted the LEXCORP sign on the truck, managed to catch that little detail. I always enjoy that kind of stuff.
Some good fighting scenes (despite camera issues)- that tall nameless guy serving Zod that took on Superman together with Faora had some cool wrestling moves.
Of course, the neck-snap was a cool moment.

Anyone else catch the "Wayne Enterprises" on the satellite during the final Supes/Zod fight?

I finally got to see the movie last night. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was done well for the most part. I think the pacing felt off in some places, but I get what they where doing.

I also think they could have done more with references and hints to other things in the DC universe like Marvel has done with their films. I think this part was a huge loss for the movie. I think ti would have created more buzz around it.

I thought Zod was done really well and i can't wait for NRS to release him. Hopefully they release a Man of Steel skin for him alongside Superman's.
I was also surprised by how much Henry Cavill looked like Tom Welling in the final scene.
