I certainly don't blame manhunter fans for their frustration. All these polls that mmh won and discussions about him being in the game that NRS is "totally listening to". Then to top it all off, that silhouette was a HUGE dick move.

As I've said in other posts, I'm not angry... I paid the money, took the risk, and its bitten me in the ass. Very disappointed with how all these dlc shenanigans have played out. Lesson learned.

He was the lead creator and instigator, so while maybe Avatar wasn't created by machine hooked up to his head, it was created by group of people who were inspired by him and his imagination. In effect, it's the same as, if his head was hooked up to machine.

Yeah, that's the part that irks me the most. They purposely put in that MMH silhouette, just to 'troll' the fans into believing they were going to get him? That's not even funny anymore. That's like saying: "Hey, fans... fuck you."

Boon is the creative director and while he doesn't have 100% control over what goes into the game, he does have one of the more vocal voices about what should go into it. He's also the main figure head between NRS and the community at large. For them to put up a poll about who the community wants in the game and to then practiacally ignore it and to tease character that won't been in the game, they are entitled to the criticism. He also loves to instigate, play head games and perpetuate the community. For someone like Martian Manhunter to not make it into the game or even dlc roster they are going to get a lot of flack for it, and it's going to hurt their relations with the community.

They wouldn't have gotten so much heat had they just said nothing and surprised everyone with the dlc rather than taking a poll or even hint at who was going to be dlc. The outcry on Facebook alone is completely negative. I haven't seen a single positive comment about batgirl since the Injustice page announced her last night.

If the entire DLC leak is true (and only if it is) that would mean that NRS 100% intentionally mislead the fans by posting a silhouette that was MM. You are correct that they do not have full control of the characters or the game but I do believe that they had a hand in misleading people with that silhouette. Think about it....They post 4 images 3 generic but they make sure 1 is the most requested character to sucker people when they have no intention of putting him in. Thats dirty, whether you were forced to do it by DC,WB or whomever you going to eat some shit for that. Anyone in that studio could have let it slip out. Things leak all the time in the games industry.

For me that is what I feel misled about. If they had posted 4 blank silhouettes I wouldn't feel like I got suckered. I would have just gambled and I would have lost. This feels like they cheated and I lost.

By the way, this is not an entitlement issue. I think you need to look up what that means. Again, if NRS had done 4 generic images and people were just bitching about the choices then they would be "self entitled dicks". Someone misled them with that ad for the season pass. They have a right to feel cheated.

So far as blaming Boon...let me put it to you this way, when a ship has a fuck up, they look to the captain first. He takes the responsibility. Goes with the job. He also kinda shot himself in the foot when he sent out that image on his twitter of a computer screen with three folders on it. MM, Penguin, and DLC. Sends a message right ? If Boon wants to play with the fans he knows he's got to take the heat for it.

All this said, I'll wait for all 4 characters to be released and a second season pass to be shot down before I cry foul too loudly. I thought they were stupid to leave money on the table with MK9 by not doing more DLC, they will be even greater fools if they repeat that mistake.
