Not to mention the game has a competely different button layout more akin to Blazblue than MK.

And because this forum is dedicated to fans of Mortal Kombat, and this is the first non MK game from NRS , people are excited for it because its being made by the people behind the franchise they love so much.

Exactly.We all love mk,they're making their first non mk fighting game.Of course we'll be anticipating it,hence the special forum spot.And i personally am liking the way it's looking so far.

Quite frankly,,,I do agree more with Asesino that the rest of you.
This is a MK forum, not a Ed Boon/NRS appreciaion one.
Still, the prolem is solved by avoding this section of MKonline, as I do 90% of time.
I follow news on Injustice just because I expect some details of gameplay and story shall be used in the next MK game, and I am waiting for Scorpion as guest character too.

Discussing DC Injustice and Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe.

There's an existing tie between the series, potential for crossover interest, and the fact that Injustice is likely to replace substantial MK news while MK is allowed to have its time to mature gracefully. NRS has branched out, we'll see how they go and support them at least this far.

As someone mentioned, if it's not your thing, it shouldn't be too difficult to pick your way through MK stuff still going on around the site.

Don't hold your breath, this game won't influence the next MK in any gameplay mechanics.

If you don't like the game/have troubles dealing with it, simply ignore it and ignore its section in the forums. You see if the team worked of The Grid 2 , I would like to see it covered in MKO.

There is a point. Couldn't we have e.g. a Street Fighter forum too – it's been MK's "competitor" for dog ages and is a similar series? Or "All Things Kratos" seeing how we can see his eyes in the box art of MK9? Or; change the site's name. Originally this was an MK5 anticipating site.

No? I guess you have "thought it over" then. Well, at the very least the subtitle Da UMK Xperience could see a change as it's sorta deceiving.

I'm more curious why we have a board for General Discussion. I mean, that has absolutely nothing to do with Mortal Kombat
