Oh yeah and Johhny Cage was my fav character and Sub-Zero's Spine rip was my faviorite fatility in MK1

Even though this is the game that started it all, I didn't like it. I would have rated it higher if the gameplay wasn't so slow. My favorite fatality was the Spine Rip.

This game kicked ass but you still moved slow.Spine rip is awesome for just a simple fatality.And for those who dont know it.Its front down front hp

9/10 because it was a smash hit, slow a bit but fun as hell.


It was the first game to officially cause all of this video game controversy and now thanks to MK, the first game to cause reasons for the ESRB system way back by Joe Liberman.It's controversy made it even bigger and more popular also.

I still remember....thanks to that games now have a rating system like movies do, M rated MK is.

i really don't understand why people complain about speed...SF" is slower....

mk1 gets a 9 from me, 2 gets a 10 for expanding everything, 3 gets a 8, ultimate gets a 10....yeah thats all i really liked in the mk series so far..

I give Mortal Kombat:Trilogy a 7/10
here is why:
i own it for the N64 and i noticed all the MK3 Music had some change in instruments such as in the rooftop and the bridge where there was a chinese pan-flutish drum is a trash can bang.
another reason:
certain levels should've been left alone in one sense or another, such as the courtyard Shao Khan on top, okay that's cool they kicked Shang's old $%^. but the monks are frozen and look like they have been brain-washed, but at least they could have made that old feeling of accomplishment by monks clapping to your victory...or defeat..wichever comes first.
last one:
Sheeva's 8 Hit Kombo kicks serious @#$.. Jades 8 Hit Kombo isn't bad either. here is a hint.. put auto combos for P1 on and turn off combos for P2 altogether. at Shao Khan use Noob Siabot's projectile(the one that disables his punches) stick that on him and kick his lonely old $#%.

MK 1 10/10: It was a great game with a good storyline!

MK2 10/10: Continued the story of MK2 with memorable stages and better graphics. My all time favorite MK game, probably for life.

MK3 6/10: Didn't have a masked Sub-Zero, and no Reptile and Scorpion?

UMK/MKT 5/10: I felt ripped off after buying MK3, then they release the updated version. Too many ninjas made this game unoriginal.

MK4 8/10: Good storyline, but the home system graphics sucked!

MKDA: 4/10: Shang Tsung stil alive? WTF? Stiff controls and stiff fighters. Characters were buffed up beyond belief.

MKD: 7/10: Great game, but still suffers the stiff characters that are unresponsive. Good ideas to bring back some classic stages in 3D.

MKA: 4/10: Totally unoriginal, done last minute with not many updates.

Well it's true! They didn't have any ninjas in MK3, and when people complained they went overboard with the ninjas.

MK4/G was the first MK too be in a 3D level and it was great, not the best graphic but solid gameplay and added in some important characters.

a real improvement on the 3D from MK4 and some new interesting character and the addition of Konquest was cool

MKD 9/10 lacking in gameplay but a much better job on Konquest adding in some characters that really weren’t needed and some story that was needed

Putting all the characters in was awesome and a cool Konquest but the highlight was probably KAF and KAK to make completely custom characters new a air combos were also added. one of the greatest MK’s ever.

MKM: Sub-Zero 8/10
I fun game to play and the first attempt at a non-fighting game. It expands the story of Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei as well as scorpion and Quan Chi. It also introduced Sareena in to the story line.

MK Special Forces 2/10
Quite possibly the worst MK game ever made a waste of money and time. It introduces Jarek however who is somewhat important in MK4 and also kind of expands on the Special Forces and Black Dragon story

MK Shaolin Monks 10/10
A great game to play it explains what happened during MK2 a little more and how Quan Chi got the Amulet it has a cool fatality system as well as good gameplay make It a great game to play. Also people are still not sure if they’ve unlocked every thing because there’s so much.

Overall the MK games are great and I would give them all together a 10/10
