D'Vorah for sure! She could be the closest thing to an evolved Kreeyan from Mortal Kombat Conquest that we will ever see in the game and her abilities that use insects remind me of The Mummy movie franchise. Letting loose swarms of bugs to crawl under your skin and all that; it is very fitting to the character. I like all the new characters.

That means she was simply more powerful than them at that time. I don't get why characters get hate just because their alignment is evil.

That wasn't the case with the Noob-Saibot, because he didn't kill the majority of the cast, and he is a dark ninja for fucks sake. Everyone loves dark ninjas.
But I'm sure Quan Chi will get the same treatment in his battle, people will vote for the other contestant even if he's Mokap, because Quan Chi is a backstabber, evil asshole. But that's the point of these characters, to make heroes hero, you need evil characters to take the hate. Shao Kahn, Sindel and Quan Chi did that perfect in MK9.
Also I want to add that Sindel didn't kill these heroes on her own will, she was brainwashed or whatever the term is for that in MK. In some endings you could see that she becomes good again, helping her people, returning to her throne with Jerrod etc.
Personally, I voted for Sindel. Because I like her more than a character I don't know anything about and looks like a reuse of Raven.

I'm surprised you decided to include the newcomers in this competition. That means some characters from the previous games, some characters we like, won't even make it to the first round. Kinda unfair imo. Anyway.

I'm impressed with D'Vorah so far, but I am not going to make a final opinion about her until I have played her. So I'll go for Sindel. They did awesome with her in MK9.

As soon as I saw the matchup I figured D'Vorah would be in the lead.

D'Vorah is shiny and new, and people are transparent when it comes to shiny and new. I expect a similar bump for other new characters if/when they appear in the poll. Just wait until they get matched up against a "heavy weight" and the hipster vote takes effect. "Character A had their chance, it's time for new blood despite the fact I've never played as them and know nothing about them other than their name." But to each their own, it's just a fun diversion. I'm not going to hate too much on opinions.

Sindel isn't a favorite of mine, but I know her story and have played as her. I know next to nothing about D'Vorah, good or bad, so I went with Sindel. A little hard for me to vote for someone who could turn out to be the next Sub-Zero just as easily as the next Mokap.

You guys clearly do not know the definition of iconic then. And if a character can gain "classic" status, what's stopping her from being "iconic"? The two are synonymous. Your average stranger on the street would probably be able to recognize who Sindel is.

As for being a "noob". I wasn't referring to how long you've been on this site for. I was referring to how long people have been playing MK. Most of the people who voted for that insect lady probably picked up the game in 2011. I've been playing long before any of them were born.
