Imma put some stuff into proper perspective and put up a decent argument! Everyone please reply to this post or even email me on the MK5 site if ya feeling what Imma about to present:
Some proper History for all yall fan like me who been with it since DAY ONE!
Queen Sindel:
The true ruler to the realm of Edenia and the wife to husband Jerrod whose soul became one of many in the collaborative body of Ermac. Sindel has a complicated history in which case at many points have not been given a proper chance to display abilities on her own free will; free from corruption until MK 6 Deception.
Sindel as we know was used as a scapegoat and sacrificial piece in a elaborate scheme that could only be truly understood by reading, playing, and understanding the complicated mythos of the MK storyline. with that said...
Her Soul was trapped by Shang Tsung who in part had to barrow the necessary shadow Priests from necromancer: Quan Qi only through trading the location of the "Sacred Map" of elements for him to locate Shinnoks Amulet. (Connection to MK 4) Shang Tsung used Quan Qi's priests to taint Sindel's Soul evil, but also incapacitated in so that she could not crossover into the afterlife. Her soul was then re summoned as a strategic last ditch maneuver to bridge a connection between Earthrealm and Outworld only after Shao Khan met his defeat at the end of MK 2 which in turn led to the opening of the 3rd tournament. By this time the tournament became more of a war and the "tournament" as it seems and "MK" was being used as a front for Khan's planetary domination to walk in the image of Onaga.
Khan's fall in the 3rd "tournament" was met by much collaborative efforts from a mix of earth realm warriors like Liu Kang, and traitorous allies such as Meleena who was in debt to Quan Chi and Shinnok from her resurrection that enlisted her and others like Noob Saibot as spies to assist in overthrowing khan and weakening the dimensional gates again so that their consort Tanya can use Sindel's return to the Edenian thrown after the events as an entry point for access in Outworld.
Shinnok would place Sindel under palace arrest shortly after Sindel recieved the crystal Orb gift from Edean trator Tanya and it opened a portal to the Neatherealm allowing him to step through. Sindel would have just completed her first delegated task to her daughter princess Kitana which was to reach a peace agreement bewteen the Centaurs and the 4 arm Shokan people but since peace could not be met, Kitana made a new agreement by linking the Shokan people to her Edenain Army leading into the "Deadly Alliance" events.
Shinnok's defeat allowed Khan to recuperate and as for Sindel there is a silent absence of her during the "Deadly Alliance" events however it can be assumed that she spent her time doing her best to politically and physicallly defend and manage what was left of her world before being pulled into the madness of the dragon king: Onaga resurrecting her daughter and using her as a bodyguard.
With the help of Jade who was still alive she assisted in freeing Sindel who was once again was being kept on place arrest by choice becuase she did not want to fight against her daughter. Tanya kept watch before her temporary defeat; and both Jade and Sindel ventured together into Outworld to gather intelligence on Onaga before attempting to rescue her daughter.
Onaga's acquisition of the Kamidogu pieces were interrupted at its apex when Taven and Daigon stepped in with blaze and the Pyramid of Argus deal. An unexpected event that led into the "Armageddon" unfolding. With no clear winner and Khan and Raiden atop the Pyramid at what would appear as the the final climax, Raiden's paranoia and fall in faith in the elder gods forced him to act on an emotion that involved changing events from the past. In doing this the already SOLID MK HISTORY gets reset in MK 9.
Many of the major events of MK leading to key linking parts are rewritten and dramatically altered. This being the case Sindel annihilated key figures single handedly within the kombat temple sanctum that contribute intensively to the original story included killing or beating down her own daughter Kitana. (This has yet to be fully determined or explained)
Which now leaves us to 25 years in the future with Mortal Kombat X.
Sindel is already very old to begin with if she even makes it into the cast of X (I Hope) she would have to be even much older, and most importantly can she still fight Lol? However If Kitana survived her own mother's assault in the MK 9 events then logically I'd assume she would have taken her role as queen of Edenia FINALLY and perhaps Sindel has finally passed on for good. If this is not the case....
My vote is for Sindel to take the win over D'Vorrah only because Sindel has a longer history and her sorcery could have grown since then. It would be an interesting battle to see. We don't know much of D'vorrah her background or even her origin. However I like her design and I like her style its reminiscent of a Darkstalkers: Q-bee meets Sadira from Killer Instinct. D'Vorrah will be one of if not my favorite new females in MK X. As a long standing MK fan I as for right now I vote for Sindel just becuase she is the original queen and one of my main and favorite character's in the MK universe!

We all know the story of Mortal Kombat and the role Sindel played. You aren't the only person on this board who has played MK since it began and for the majority of their life. Why is it impossible for you to accept that people dislike Sindel and preferred D'Vorrah? When Shang Tsung loses, I won't bitch and whine about how much more important he is than whoever beats him. I'll shrug my shoulders and get on with my life and not freak out over a meaningless poll on a video game forum.
People will have different opinions than you. You love Sindel. I dislike her immensely. I'm not the only one. The majority chose D'Vorrah over Sindel. Sindel is eliminated. Why is this impossible for you to accept?

Queen Sindel not only has a great storyline but Queen's special moves are also spectacular! Queen Bee x-ray move is fantastic !!! I guess you had a chance to play as D'vorah so you came into this conclusion

"the majority chosed D'vorah" you kidding,right? the result was too close just be REAL!!! and it doesn't change the fact Queen Sindel is one of the main MK characters of all time. Sindel's power can only be compared with Raiden,Quan chi,Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn!!! Get over it

Well, more people chose D'Vorah than Sindel. That means the MAJORITY of people chose D'Vorah. The fact that the result was close is irrelevant, Sindel lost. Get over it.

yes!!! I DO respect everyone 's choices yet the truth is clear D'vorah gained a few more votes over Queen Sindel ! not won like%80 or something! I'm just against Queen's rival !!! I wonder how many votes have been received for the previous poll ....anyway FACT: Sindel has both great gameplay and storyline . (proven by the creator in Deception ,MK reboot etc...) U get over it

This is ridiculous. She lost. Regardless of the percentage, she lost. She's out, its over. Look at what MickLucifer said. I don't care if you like Sindel's storyline and gameplay. It's totally irrelevant. She lost. Apparently, trying to prevent spamming is worthy of skull points. I really wish there was a decent alternative MK forum to this one. TRMK is very quiet and Kamidogu is dead. MKO is all thats left and the mods really let the place down
