No idea who to vote for, really. On the fence here.

But if this joker wins again over three characters who've actually PAID THEIR DUES in the series, then the tourney will be in need a serious overhaul come next year.

I just don't understand it. Am I literally the only person left here who at least appreciates every single canon character this franchise has? I don't think I actively dislike a single one enough to shit all over the character itself and their fanbase, they all have their special little thing about them. Hell, even Mokap and Hsu Hao as ridiculous as they are, I wouldn't mind seeing back in some capacity as they have their special little place in this franchise.

Sub-Zero is in MKX. Noob is not. Easy!

What are you even going to overhaul to stop that? Removing the winner doesn't really make a lot of sense and it doesn't solve the problem of crazy fans getting off their butts to vote. It just means the next crazy pick does better. Fujin is in MKX but I don't remember if Noob gets much more than a mention! Unless staff start picking the winners its just democracy. Everyone loves to throw blame around but the people screwing the fans are usually the fans.

Anyone with an MK Twitter account can tell you they've been bombarded by Fujin tweets sometime in the last two years. I know last year there was an organized effort on DeviantART to get people voting for Fujin, too. Voted Ermac, but not because i suddenly 'hate' Fujin. Ermac's growth and change in the past two games has been very interesting, and i like the stylistic choices NRS has made about him. I still feel that Fujin has been dicked out of potential appearances and really needs a chance to shine.

He didn't actually say that. It's just a meme. I found it funny when I saw it the first time on Mime, because I understood the reference, but then more and more users just started to use it as their sig and the joke died immediately because it became serious.

How is it a stupid statement that Fujin is my favorite character? Yeah, he may not be a stand-out character who's done a lot for the franchise or the games in general, but I don't really understand why that even matters. What matters is that everyone has their favorite characters for their own personal reasons.

Well, we're turning back the clock to 2014 here, when I regularly drained my phone battery checking the poll results a bajillion times at work as Ermac got closer to the final round.

Even if he does somehow make it back to the final this year, he'll lose to Noob anyway, but I'll be satisfied nonetheless because this was a hell of a comeback from last year's disaster.

As for the ninja debate, he's not even a ninja anymore. But semantics, I guess.
