I was under the impression that this was the way to do it this whole time... Even though it wasn't written that way, I think we should still do it this way...

No I disagree.
A post should be announced allowing ALL players to know its a tie thus giving people a chance to vote either way.
Ur vote, or any talliers vote, doesnt make it fair, as the winner is decided before ALL players know it si a tie
. (And Im nto just saying this cause I voted kitana, anyway Brunao got in there before me. Its only fair that the tally post only include that it is a tie.)

Sektor wins, nice. Off to a great start, when is round 2 starting?
MKKitana, going by the current rules, Sektor wins. What more is there to say? The edit can be made for game 2.

I have added the following to the rules list to ensure this does not happen again.
In the event of a tie, the person doing the tally at the time must announce the tie. They are however, not eligible to vote. The first vote cast after the announcement will decide the winner.

That's still unfair... no one who has voted should be allowed to break the tie. Think about it realistically. We all know there are groups of friends here... some of them talliers. The tallier says, "Hey, I'm about to announce the tie, get a post ready to break it and I'll tell you when I've posted."
The person breaking the tie should not have voted in the final round at all.

So that would mean that Kitana wins, because mine was the first vote after Crow

Heh, "next time" will be along way from now, being as he's the first to get into the championship
And no Bruno, those WASN'T the rules at that point. That's being introduced for the next games.

Ok, that's another good point raised! I shall add that to the rules also!
This debate needs to stop. In light of the previous rules before the ammendment, Sektor is granted his victory. I am aware that it is unfair, which is why this ammendment is being made. As soon as you've all done with your arguing, I'll start the next game.

Glad to hear it, onto game 2

Does the tallier really need to announce the tie? Or can we simply count the next vote that comes in the minute the 24 hours are over...

I agree with this rule, however since this rule have just been made, we should go by the previous rule(who was a bit unclear) and give the win to Sektor for this first game like you said. The new rule should apply for the games to come

Yes, otherwise it would raise confusion if others are keeping track of the score. They'd want to know why said character suddenly won. It's to keep it fair. I know it's probably be easier without it, but it should be done.
This game has always had edits, problems and other various things... it's only natural that there will almost always be something to correct.
Anyhow, let's get the next game going. There was a mistake in the rules; there's nothing that can be done about it except change it for the future, which we already have. Game 2 will be in this thread (tgrant and I thought it would be funny to see how many replies this thing can actually get :P)

Okay but what about that weird thing that happened in MKS' thread because it got "too long" or something. Posts were vanishing. If my memory serves me correctly.

That was due to post deletion if I remember correctly.

That was due to double post deletion, not thread length. The Wrestling thread in the general discussion forum and the current longest thread on record, the "Countdown to Deception" thread had no problems even given their exceptional lengths.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
