As I said, if you all want to be like that, we can. All I have to do is edit one my messages, put in that *last round* with Li Mei in it so you all will be satisfied. But regardless, I will vote to boot Li Mei which will be the deciding vote. All we are really doing is wasting time, the outcome will not change.

You aren't sure of that at all. I, myself, could have ended the round after KingTaylor's vote, voted to immune Li Mei which could have been followed by another Li Mei immune vote. You did not announce the end of the round until many minutes had past, and anything could have happened.

We can "what if" all day. What if your vote was followed by a boot vote?

Its obvious you are not going to drop this, and you just couldn't live without being right. With no signs of compromise from your side in sight, we might as well go ahead and do what tgrant said, starting everybody back at (0,0). At least that way you'll stop complaining, coming up with forty different scenarios, and giving me a headache.

I suggest you drop the attitude. I was simply trying to see that the game was played fairly. I noticed an obvious error, and attempted to correct it. I respect the majority of the users who play this game each week, and try to rid this game of any unfairness which is generally caused by clones. In this case, I saw something that wasn't being done correctly. No matter if she was to be booted; the step should have been taken, and that is a fact.

Your vote also came after all other characters outside of Li Mei had been immuned or booted. As it states in the rules, when only one character is left, the round must end on that vote.

You "suggest I drop the attitude", yet you are exhibiting just as much of one as I am. Moderator or not, the fact is, either one of our views on how it should have played out are EQUALLY valid and equally possible. Simply because you think something should be done one way does not mean that is the way it has to work out. Because the truth of the matter is that it could've worked either way. If I was going to have an attitude about it, I wouldn't have suggested we put them back to (0,0) like tgrant's idea said. I was simply trying to make sure that the game was carried out as smoothly as possible, without having to go back and re-do anything. If I'm not mistaken (and I might very well be), votes were changed (one in particular) after I had posted the Final Round post. Again, I might be wrong but if thats the case it truly was the final round. I am just showing that either way we could've both been right, and I compromised by everyone starting at (0,0). So there is no reason for me to "drop the attitude" when all I'm saying is I'm tired of you being confrontational when I am just trying to get this game going as smoothly as possible.

It doesn't matter. My point is the round should have been over according to the rules. Someone should have taken note of this, and tallied the votes instead of letting the round continue. Most importantly, you should have not announced this was the final round when it clearly contradicted the rules.

Your attitude has nothing to do with your points. It relates to your use of terms such as "complaining", which I was not doing at all. Also, starting a paragraph with "whatever" is generally a sign that you could care less about my opinion.

If I truly wanted to "complain", I would close this thread, deeming it posted in the wrong forum. In fact, this game itself is being played in the incorrect forum. Does this game relate at all to MK: Deception? No. Yet, I have allowed it so the users here can have some enjoyment. I suggest you think about these things in the future.

Once again, both of us had valid points and it would've been just as easy for me to edit a post making that last round and booting Li Mei. When I posted the final round, I am almost positive it was. That was before I am thinking a vote was changed.

I don't see how using the term "complain" is showing an attitude? To complain is to show dissatisfaction in something and bringing about an accusation for change. That in no way shows an attitude, because that is what you did. You expressed you were unhappy with the situation and wanted it to change. That is a complaint.

I have noticed that as well, that this isn't directly related to Deception. I'm not even arguing on that point. I think we are all thankful that we are allowed to play this game.

Nice point.

6. Each round will have at least 15 votes. The exception is when there is no one else to vote for. This may happen in later rounds where there are fewer fighters to choose from.

tgrant, this should be looked into. It doesn't specifically state there has to be somebody to immune, it just says that there has to be someone to vote for. Li Mei was there to vote for.

I'm not saying this to continue any argument, this post is meant so we can avoid this type of conflict in the future. This rule needs to be clarified.

I agree. But in past threads, and this thread as well, tgrant has made it clear the round should be over if there is only one character remaining. Which, this should be common knowledge, after all, the game is titled "Boot and Immune". Meaning at all times, outside of the final round, one should cast both votes. In any event, return to the game. Since I happen to be here, I shall vote as well.

Yeah, but I mean we don't always receive boot AND immunes either, ya know? When they are already immuned or booted and get another vote. I agree with you, the rule should state the round ends when one character is left. That way we have a point-blank rule to abide by, rather than going what someone has stated in posts but not in the rules. Just going by the rules, nothing was done wrong tonight, but I do agree that it needs to be changed to where what happened tonight would've been wrong.

What happened was well within the pre defined rules. And I can’t see how changing the rules to what your suggesting helps at all as it doesn’t benefit the 2 characters that achieved immunity only to be reset to (0,0) for a 3 way shoot out. In a case like this when there is only 1 person left to vote for people should vote until that character is either booted or immune to make it fairer. The next game shouldn’t start until this is ironed out.

I don't believe resetting the one remaining character to (0,0) is the solution. Rather, set the two charaters which did achieve immunity to (0,0), while the remaining character retains all boot and immune votes.

In the case, the next round would have looked like this:

Baraka: (0,0)
Kabal: (0,0)
Li Mei: (5,6)

Your method concerning immuning or booting the remaining character could work, however, it may not be fair in other situations. For instance, say Fujin was immune at this point, and didn't participate at all. Baraka and Kabal reached immunity, leaving Li Mei as the only remaining character. Thus, continuing to boot/immune her seems like adding an extra round almost. So Fujin effectively saves himself from even having to compete with Li Mei, being immuned over a longer than normal period of time perhaps.

With my suggestion, this hypothetical round I am describing would have been tallied, and all four characters available for voting. Fujin, who was immuned two rounds before, would have a (0,0) counter, as would Baraka and Kabal who were just immuned in the previous round. Li Mei would keep whatever votes she had at the time the round ended.
