Alright guys. I've given ~Crow~ a break from running the trivia on IRC, and I thought I'd use the boards to lay down some tips and hints for those of you logging on!

How do you play trivia?
To play you're going to either need to download yourself an IRC client like mIRC or Trillian, or alternatively use the convenient java applet provided by the good people at MKO.

Then you're going to need to hit the right server "/server irc.webchat.org" [in the case of the Java, you should find your way there automatically] and then join "/join #ShaolinTrivia."

How do I choose my destiny?
If a game isn't in progress, all you need to do to start the trivia is type !trivia [a number] where [a number] represents the amount of questions you would like.

What kinds of questions?
It's MKtrivia, so everything is MK! The questions are divided into categories to better prepare you for your answers. They are:

- Test Your Sight: Scramble clues
- Test Your Might: Involves long lists
- Deception: True or False questions
- Combo: Input commands from the games
- Origins: Questions about the characters
- Games: Questions about the storylines
- Arcade: Questions concerning tidbits about the games
- Clans: Questions about groups within the MK universe
- Weapons: Questions about... you guessed it... Weapons!
- Movies: Questions about MK TV and film
- Secrets: All other tidbits concerning MK and it's origins
- Animality: ... Wanna take a guess?

Hints and tips?
Because the trivia is run with a rigid script, there are a few easy rules to the logic that will help you answer quicker and more accurately!

- Answers with multiple parts will be arranged in alphabetical order, seperated by commas
- Commas are used in favour of "&" or "and", even on two-part answers
- A single underscore represents a corresponding letter or number
- Numbers are typically words, rather than numerals, but there are some exceptions [Dates, Scores...]
- Full names for the games! No abbreviations!
- The trivia likes to think it's Shao Kahn. Don't take it personally!
- Saying the answer must be wrong, doesn't make it true... Think hard, young padawan!
- Reptile is your friend! He gives clues!
- Tournaments are 24/7! Play for endurance, or play to intimidate! Strategy is yours to decide!

Anything else?
There are all kinds of fun little secrets to be unlocked along the way, and mammoth questions already accumulating legend in the chan! So, pool your efforts, aim for combos, and see if you can become the next MK Trivia champion!

EDIT: At the moment you'll get a volley of five questions upon entry, if there isn't already trivia going on. Consider this your entry point!
