you are right there are no such things a original ideas any more or uniqueness. every possible idea is allredy used to the point that we are almost out of ideas.

Maybe, but that doesn't mean it's any better for you to blatantly rip off the more popular and obvious ideas.

You've been using characters from other video games and story lines from television shows. That right there is ripping off.

What's not ripping off is changing things around so it's not so obvious where you're going in your stories. Changing the names of monsters or whatever rather than using what they are originally called in the game you pulled them from.

well if that is the case then guess what. i cant just pull original fresh ideas outta my ass without them sounding worse what i have now. you see the people at fanfiction.net ripoff complete movie plot lines and scripts word for word and just changed the names to other cartoon charicters.

didn't you already say that there are no original ideas anymore, so you're just contradicting yourself now?

oh, and, at some point, it becomes less of how much of a rip off you did, and more of how well of a job you made to execute that rip off, hell, I'm in the middle(although story wise, it is nowhere near the middle) of an MK Sprite Comic based upon Shaolin Monks, and it's doing pretty well despite being almost the exact same in a 2d plane.

You're not even giving yourself a chance then if you cannot think of something from the top of your head. Yeah, watching shows and reading books can give you ideas, but just taking something from something else and putting it in your stories isn't even a fresh idea, its unoriginal.

Take a look at Avatar for Christ's sakes. The entire plot came from Pocahontas' story with a few things changed. That is unoriginal, that's why I hated the movie.

If you at least put effort into something of your own then maybe you won't get people critiquing on how poorly of a story it is. Despite that people are actually helping you, you should be thankful about rather than acting poorly and just giving up completely.

What does that have to do with anything? People on that site are like most people on Deviantart. Majority of the artists on that site steal people's work and claim it as their own. Which is why I'm careful on how I submit my work to that site... With people writing their stories, of course you're going to get people who are claiming others' work for their own...

Also, just to point it out, that the concept of physically walking around in cyber space and defeating viruses who take on aliases of different people is almost the EXACT same plot line as every mega-man game/series ever. I mean, that is the entire point of that franchise. This Sektor Seven idea isn't psuedo-original, or even a half-assed rip, its a word for word copy and paste of mega-man.

the cyberspace thing reminded me more of System Shock then Mega-Man

i was aware that mega man is a cyberspace game but to think that i ripped off the entire game word for word means that i had no clue that they were all the same.

ok how about this a virus avatar escapes from cyberspace and starts killing people in real life. and the thing is that this one is an avatar based off of me Crimson D. making it look like i am the one behind this virus. i just got the idea off the top of my head for once.

well at least you figured them out. but yeh. i saw alot of authers put coded messages in there novals so i thought mabey i could make them more interasting. also the full clear text of the second code is: THIS ALSO A CODED MESSAGE WHERE I JUST REARRANGED THE LETTERS IN A DIFFERANT WAY SO IT IS STILL CODED.

It wasn't rearranged, you just changed the spacing.

in other news i got the first chapter of my cyber kombat story up. once its cleared you will see it. i took a ton of time to write these and i was holding these off for weeks because i made serious revisions to the 3 chapters i have finished. so they are my best works yet.

i now have the cyber kombat chapter 2 up and so far it is NOT a word for word copy and paste version of mega man. so you fail at reading the mega man plot lines word for word and compareing the written plot line of mega man against mine as there are no words used in the same order nor do they just talk about stuff from the mega man storys.
