Hero machine gets a very bad rap, which is largely undeserved. Like poser and other tools, it allows people who simply don't have the artistic chops to draw these or render these things on their own the ability to showcase their character concepts.

To that end, I'd like to share my concept of Skarlet. My concept of Skarlet has been developing since I introduced her into the Adventures of Spirit Liu but there are a few important things.

1) Skarlet is always blonde

2) Skarlet always wears red and gold

3) Skarlet is cuter than traditional MK women

With these basic ideals in mind, here is my latest incarnation of Skarlet, thanks to the good folks responsible for Hero Machine 3.

i dont quite like the pigtails, but that may be because in here it is (or was or maybe its only my idea) a child ́s hairdo.

I've always imagined Skarlet as a blonde too. I think it would be better too since every ninja so far has brown to black hair ('cept 'Meleons) and it would give more difference to the characters too. I'd also like to see more rastas in the game with dreadlocks other than just Kai.

Anyway, the hair is nice but cut off the pigtails please. The attire overall is very fine, with gold details and a good shade of red. What's with the missing shoe? Is she acting Cinderella or what?

Just a stylistic choice. Like a reverse symmetry.

I like the pigtails and I stand by them.

I'm getting a viking/gladiator look from her. Not a good look for her, in my opinion. Though the blonde hair would be a nice touch, the hairstyle looks messy and odd. And her outfit looks too superhero'esque, not befitting the MK world. She should have a darker and sexier look, she is waaaay too bright. Perhaps it's because of all the white in it, and no colour to contrast it. The red isn't good enough, there should be some black in it as well.

A lot of the MK outfits are very superheroesque, but I get what you're saying. Obviously I can't make her look exactly how I'd like because I don't have the artistic skill.

The colour palette in Hero Machine 3 is extremely limited. I should remake her and try colouring her in Photoshop. I'm not great at it, mostly because I get no practice, but I'm better than Hero Machine 3.

Off topic, is that Jade in your sig from MK2011?

It's amazing how incredibly defensive your are toward minor comments and critiques just because you used Hero Maker.

Since you did not make the art, there is only one thing we can comment on, and that's what I did. I don't know what you're expecting.
