Well, technically I did use pastellines and clay a pretty while ago, but...
that is definitely not above a good 3/5.

What I meant was that is not easy doing such a detailed person like batman out of clay and I thought it was pretty good seeing as how it was made out of clay so ill take it easy on him. Thats what I meant by exception.

I mean obviously positive comments everyone likes, but what I like about your post is that you seem to understand how difficult sculpting is in general.

Honestly, this is what I've learned over the years of art.Sculpting at times is arguably the toughest and most challenging form of art out of everything.I've painted, drew and sculpted.IMO, as difficult as all of them are.Sculpting requires the most patience, most precision and unlike drawings and paintings you can't always go back on a bust without really starting from scratch entirely.

With painting, you can paint over something.With drawing, you can erase something.

My view I guess on my own work is this, I rushed some parts for sure but I don't think the mask is bad to be honest.I actually worked on the detail of the mask for a bit of a while.The ears especially.The mouth I honestly didn't see as a big deal considering that it's....his lips.How much detail is there? lol.His mask covers everything it does in the cartoons and movies.This I even worked from a picture, several pics of Batman actually so I have to admit the whole doesn't look like his mask puzzles me a bit to be honest.

His cape, which nobody commented on so far is actually made of clay also.I really didn't have the proper clothe or time to find one for his cape.Also, IMO I think it looks weird on a clay model unless it's hard and painted.I prefer to just work with different color clay.

To poasty, I see what you're saying but you can't honestly say that if it was you posting a piece of art, that you would sit back and take a ridiculous comment of that nature as if nobody said anything.

One thing everyone should do is respect anothers artwork, despite whether they like it or not.I do, most on here do whether they like another user work or not.Comments like that are uncalled for, so I felt like challenging his claim.Make a better looking one and let me judge it.

If you posted something and I didn't like it, I could say one of two things.

A.What a pos, that's pure crap and you have no talent or B.Interesting, but I don't like it.Try working on this or that, but I feel you do have talent, keep trying man.I'd like to see more of your work.

Listen, you make a bunch of shit. I gave you constructive criticism in your other piece of shit clay things. There's really nothing to comment on this worthless pile of crap, and that's what I meant with my post. There's no constructive criticism to make- it's just shit. What the fuck does it matter if I can do better or not? Movie critics can't just make a five star masterpiece either, but they criticise nonetheless- and get paid for it. You're getting my services for free, you should be thankful.

I wish I could give you constructive criticism for this one, but I just cant. There's nothing. There's nothing that I see you could improve, there's nothing that needs some fixing. It's just broken. I dont see how anyone can apreciate this mockery of the Batman legacy. I'd rather see a shitty little drawing than this. How long did it take you to make this? I dont know the answer, but what I do know, is that no matter how long it took you, it was a waste of time. Even if it took you a minute, you would've been better off making a copy and paste fake pic.

EDIT: I just went back and saw the pictures again and it's even more ridiculous than I remembered.

I've got two things to say.

1. I understand what it's like to work with clay, and I agree that it's harder than drawing or painting. Everyone's telling you that it's not perfect, but getting perfect with clay is like imitating Michelanglo (I can't spell) it's pretty much impossible. Now I'll agree with most people saying that it's not on par with your MK sculptures, but it's still not that bad. The whole deal with the mask is that it's on crooked, and almost off of his head. So I gve you a 3/5 for output, but a 4/5 taking into consideration that it's clay. But, next time, you should try to detail the head while thinking where the mask would be and so on. Also, work on his clothing he has on, because they're all bunched up. BTW. Nice cape.

2. To Zentile and all of the other haters. Until you could make a clay sculpture even close to this one, shut your mouth. Yeah, critics don't direct, but they go to school about movie making, and what to look for in movies. And if a cop ACCIDENTALLY killed six people, they wouldn't flame him. They'd say "you screwed up real bad. If you don't go to prison, I'd recommend a class on driving, or target practice." they wouldn't go like "You stupid piece of $#it. You're a f&cking @$$. What piece of s#it is this? You suck. I coulnd't do better, but I'm laughing at you because I don't want to admit I suck."

So pros to MKFlegend for the scuptue, and death to the haters.
