It's pretty good. I do have a few notes though:

First of all, it was very obvious (even before I read the description) that you used a Lara Croft model – it looks a lot like her.

Second of all, Jade is black. (Sorry, after M. Night Shyamalan's racial massacring of The Last Airbender I see racism where I probably shouldn't.)

That being said, good job!

her skin was dark, one of the light filters made it lighter, and yes it is Lara, but if i had an official Jade model i would have used it, this mod or a Green MKvDCU Kitana is all i have

Yes her skin really does need to be dark, but other than that it's a very cool artwork. Especially the bright green eyes they're entrancing!

Personally, I would have preferred if you had used Kitana and edited her costume to appear like Jade rather than using Lara Croft. And yes, her skintone looks too light. Other than that, it's a nice piece of work ^^

Jade isn't black, middle-eastern, Chinese, or white. She's not even fucking human. She's edenian. She's been portrayed to resemble many different races before. Most recently she looks half black half asian.

She might be Edenian, but that doesn't change the fact that her skintone is that of a black woman.

She has a wider-than-average nose and, like, the thickest lips of anyone in Deception. Call it profiling if you want, but this right here looks distinctly like a black person.


I have a "I legitimately can't believe people are still confused about this, she's been around since 1993!" reaction EVERY single time this argument happens. What is the deal with people? This is SO OLD.

She didn't have those "black" features you speak of until MK deception (2004), so for the first 11 years of her existance she was played by a a white woman with digitally painted skin. It's no surprise then that some people are still arguing whether she's supposed to look more middle-eastern, rather than an African-descent. (Personally I always saw her as having a Hindu/Indian look but that's just me)
(EDIT: The MK3 actress Katalin Rodriguez Zamiar might be of Hispanic descent so my bad XD)

And honestly those features still don't make her look African-American-esque - I'd say she's mixed! Especially in her Armageddon loading screen render.

Digitally painted dark brown skin though. I'm just sayin', it's been common knowledge since '93. You can have pedantic arguments about "She's not black, she's middle eastern" or "she's mixed race" or whatever...but the girl's skin is definitively dark and the fact that these arguments constantly happen makes no sense to me.
