Is there a certain deadline? I had been working on my character for ages but i have seemed to slack off.

Well, Randy, I think Brodeur wants well over 17 participants, so unless 20 more sign up before Friday, then I don't see why it can't be PM'd to him by then.

In other words, I think it'll be okay. The earlier you finish, however, the better.

Anyways, if you've witnessed how these tournaments work, you'll have to have some patience. Once a tournament begins, during the midway point of that tournament, we begin pre-registration for the next tournament to save time later on gathering people up and starting a new tournament. The only down side from this is that people want to start the tournament right away and can't wait. Well, that is why there is another tournament going on, and that's why you can help by voting in that tournament while you wait for your character's tournament to begin.
