KANG #09
Synopsis: Shang Tsung greets Liu Kang and the other kombatants as they arrive on the island, and while certain kombatants are nonchalant, Liu and the others can't help but be a little perturbed by the arrival of another cold-blooded island inhabitant.

Kang: Halloween Special (Additional Edit)
Synopsis: Kang and the gang have gathered in the Netherrealm to wish Scorpion well on his recent promotion, but things don't go according to plan when a certain time traveller drops in with concern about linear continuity within the Kang series...

STOP!... Hammer time!

KANG #10
Synopsis: Liu Kang has landed on the island, and Mortal Kombat has officially begun.
As kombatants go about roaming the grounds of Shang Tsung's island, glimpses of certain relationships and characters begin to present themselves.
Shang Tsung laughs evilly. The on-going saga continues.

Lol. The part with Ermac at the end was hil-fucking-arious dude.

I would think of some clever way to slip The Hammer contextually into this opening paragraph, but... I can't come up with anything. Show some love.

KANG #11
Synopsis: Mortal Kombat has begun, and film star Johnny Cage has goo-goo eyes for a particular Special Forces agent who has entered the tournament. Sub-Zero, being the ne'er distracted ninja, hasn't noticed, and isn't quite on the same page as Johnny...

WELL..... that certainly cleared some things up about Reptile.....

Haha. I'm kinda kicking myself now. I think the Halloween strip effed everything up, because that was the thirty-third strip I did, or there abouts, and I completely blanked the fact that there was a Reptile gag in the regular strip. :-p
Now it's upset the furies of the Reptile gag! Never the less, we Hammer on!

KANG #12
Synopsis: Liu Kang wanders into the lower depths of Shang Tsung's island, and discovers more secrets about the tournament of Mortal Kombat. Including the fact that certain kombatants have wonderful singing voices.

Do you think you could speed up? Like 2 per post? these comics are great!

Wow, I like the enthusiasm!
I want to stay regular though, and I don't think I could keep up if I did it twice daily. I'm pretty far ahead right now, but there's a good chance I'll need that thirty-some buffer just to stay in the race.

I'll probably throw in 'specials' every so often, though, like the Halloween one. So, there's plenty of Kang to go around!

And for anyone just jumping in, I've done a 'series 1' catalogue if you want to catch up. It doesn't encompass all the existing strips, but it's a start.

You know what was a silly weapon? The Troll Hammer.
Yeah... That was just horrible, wasn't it? Hopefully the strips are much better than that awkward segue...

I'm throwing this one up just after midnight, so it's pretty early for Saturday's strip. If I get a few comments and feedback concerning the matter, I might consider making weekends a double. See what you all think.

KANG #13
Synopsis: Thirteen; unlucky for some, and certainly unlucky for Shang Tsung as Sub-Zero confronts the sorceror about his purpose at the tournament.
An unknown revelation is exposed concerning the aforementioned event - PLUS: A very special first appearance for one of the crucial cogs in the MK machine. You don't want to miss it!

Alright, we'll stick with singles for now @ The Hammer, where every hammer is freshly squeezed, or your money back.

KANG #14
Synopsis: While the Kombatants explore the island grounds, Sonya Blade loses track of the criminal mastermind - Kano.
While examining the Warrior Shrine, where the kombatants of the tenth tournament have been immortalized in statue form, Sonya attempts to make assurances of Johnny Cage's allegiance. Johnny doesn't mind.

Pretty funny. I like the chorus for Reptile's clue. Reminds me of those midgets from the candy factory movie.

Ok I'ma keep these short and sweet:

Kang #13: Really fuckin stupid

Kang #14: Even worse

But the ultimate worse thing about those two is: I kept reading

I'll cop to the fact that I kinda interrupted the flow with the Beran gag, but there's no way the other one is worse than that!

... I will admit this, though.
I'm starting to regreat playing the [pending] breakdance fighting card...

Y'know, I really think these are going to read superbly in one big hit.
I say this because of the deliberate pace of switching between on-going events, as you'll see in today's Kang, courtesy of: The Hammer!

Synopsis: Sub-Zero's confrontation with Shang Tsung continues, revealing a shocking truth about Shang Tsung's plans for hiring Sub-Zero to kill him at the tournament.
This moment may be one of the key milestones in the evolution of Mortal Kombat, and an iconic piece of MK history.

Synopsis: As Shang Tsung makes his exit, Sub-Zero is left to face his mortal nemesis in Mortal Kombat.

3/5. It made me snicker, though the humor isn't very sophisticated. You got an obsession with Steve Beran's head or summat?

It's lack of sophistication is deceptively and ironically sophisticated, but a snicker is all anybody can ask for from four panels of silliness.

And, no. I do not have an obsession with Steve Beran's head.
Just Steve in general. Beranarama runnin wild!

Synopsis: Johnny Cage explores Shang Tsung's island, stumbling his way into the lower dungeoneous depths.
There he comes across Reptile, and Tsung's evil, short, Masked Guards. Repeat chorus.

And The Hammer continues it's regular excellence with yet another daily dose of wicked awesome Kangification.

Kang #18
Synopsis: Liu Kang, chosen representative of the Shaolin Monk order of light, and general champion in waiting reunites with his wacky, unstable mentor - Rayden.
Rayden reveals secrets regarding the forming of this most crucial of Mortal Kombats, elaborating on the shocking secrets revealed in Kang #13!

The Hammer apologises in advance for the downward spiral on which the Scorpion/Sub-Zero fight is about to embark.

KANG #19
Synopsis: The fierce battle between mortal enemies, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, rages on. Scorpion swears vengeance will be his, but Sub-Zero has other ideas, and the moves to back it up!

Wow! Tomorrow The Hammer celebrates three full weeks of Kang! Everybody dance now! (Like Sub-Zero and Scorpion! ooooh ho ho ho ho... Yeah... Sorry...)

KANG #20
Synopsis: As the struggle between evil and... slightly LESS evil continues -- Rayden further enlightens his chosen warrior regarding the inner workings of the tournament, and the mysterious Chinese ninja warrior called - Sub-Zero!

These ones are ok....

I have breakdance fighting remorse.
I think when I was doing these I was just caught up in the moment.

Also, the latest one with the pic of the three Lin Kuei together.
That was actually a switch-in quite a bit after the fact, when I realised I'd accidentally only done three panels, and just saved the same thing for 2 and 3. So... I don't know if that sticks out, but if it does, you know why...

I'd like to promise it gets better, but I'd be lying...
All these exposition scenes are to pay off another off the cuff gag, though. YEAH~!!!

The tournament continues to reveal itself in this shocking new series, and is currently being held without bail, pending a court date.
