Problem I had was this is on 9X12 paper, and I was trying to show his clothing more then face.
That and oooo-ahhhh he's all mysterous ninja type, no see his face.
I kinda messed up since he isn't supose to have eyes/pupils or just glowing ones like Raidens, just from the angle just more looks like I didn't bother to put pupils in =/..

Honestly when I'm drawing Minus my fixation with layers and layers of clothing =P I really try for mood or character. But thankyou again, I will try to keep my work quaility (stress on that try.. XP)

That's pretty good. Cool drawing. I don't like that he has too much clothes on. It would be almost impossible for him to fight.
I don't think it's that original since it looks to me like Scorpion because of the mask, swords and eyes.

The thing I like most has to be his outfit, it looks brilliant, though I must admit, I'm not too sure I like the idea of him being an "Immortal Dog", but then again, we do have the likes of Reptile and Motaro.
Either way, this looks excellent, the shading is great, and really sets the whole thing off.

Clothing design: outstanding as usual

I must say more about the shading, each of your drawings is shaded so well. There is not a definately defined light source but more of an overhead omni type. Perfect for a more outdoor picture.

All the little details just add an extra touch of greatness. From the ropes and chainwork to the texture in the fabric of the hood. Can't say I can see the point of the little hang tags on the robe but no problem.

The only thing that would seem odd to me is where exactly are his hands going. He must have a serious itch to need both hands.

I know thats my style taste in designs. I just like layered clothing as oposed to armour or spandex...
Honestly the swords is due to the orginal ninja the immortal dog is possessing design in the MK comics HAD the swords and long sleeves. I stuck with it cause I needed orginal design showing though. And to keep him 'ninja' ish looking.

Okay his hands are supose to be cradleing himself behind his back. His character does that alot, kinda in a aloof but secure manner.

I admit I've been lazy with my MK fan art on the fact I haven't sat down an coloured anything. Which I do colour, just not as much as I should =/
I kinda see Kuuchuusen in pale blues, offwhites and black with silver accents....

Aha, I see. Well I get why you didn't see what I did. Now I can tell he's much skinnier than I originally thought. He is sort of bowing out in a cocky pose.

I thought his hands were down the front of his pants, therefore the major itch.

It's gonna be a fight scene from MK3, Liu Kang VS Kahn, it's on the final stage, and I'm making it look 3D, with Forced perspective, and "breaking the border".

For those that don’t know The term “Breaking the Border”
Is when you put a part of the character with the arm or something sticking out side of the border of the image. It's makes it look like it's coming off the page.

I'm still working on the sketches, but maybe some one has some good ideas they can pass on to me before I start coloring it.

I'm going to use multiple light sources, strong shadows and highlights, forced perspective, and breaking the border, and it's an action scene within a stage, and it’s at an angle so it looks very 3D

It's a lethal combination.......You'll see


I still have to finish my 3D Motaro though, It’s kind of hard to work on both things at the same time.
