I have some questions. I assume that you're making a new website for this tournament or are you going to use the old one? Also, are the pieces of the storyline going to be collected and put together in the site considering it would be rather trying to read all of the "actualy" story progressions through this thread? Also, are we letting the writers figure out overarching storylines in their worlds or will you have some point for all of these fight scenes we are writing before the actual tournament? Well, yes i do have plans on making a new site for this tournament, but i am not sure if i will be able to complete the task. I started on it a while back, but i didn't get a chance to put much work into it. And at the moment, with college and work taking up most of my time, i'm not too sure if the site will get any progress.
Yes, thanks for mentioning about the story concerning the different worlds, and the neccessary scrolling needed to find the particular topic. I will try, once again, to update the site with the story section as needed.
Mmmm..i'm not too sure about the last part of your question, but if i don't answer correctly, please do so in correcting. Well, the main reason the fight scenes are created is to bring something different into the tournament, something which many people enjoyed doing, which TomTaz introduced and then the Story Thread was then implemented. The Fight Scenes are there to show creativity, and instead of just voting on characters, and waiting for users to stand by, users can get an opportunity in taking part in something. This way users can gain a record like the previous tournament, except the record will show properly this time, instead of once you lose, your record is stopped.
And, yes, SmokeNc, you can always have scenes in between. Anytime you want to input something into the story, you can do so just like the previous story thread.
And Remember, well done stories will be rewarded with dragon points.

I have something else to say:

We won't exactly begin the tournament yet, as i have discussed somethings with ~Crow~. and it's way too early to begin any sort of matches. First off, we'll need to give this some time for us judges to think this over and meet up and make sure everything is okay between ourselves.

Second, i will try to update you guys with the player profiles and also we'll need some time for everyone who is not informed about the tournament to catch up and be made known, otherwise without the contestants, we can't really have a tournament.

Thank you for Understanding. Also: Okay. Many People are confused...so...I replied this to Rabid_Wolverine, and i'll reply this to everyone else who's confused as well. Okay, this is how it works, and i trust you'll understand. and I trust you can help anyone else understand while i'm not here, since i won't be here much anymore for the time being due to college, work, etc. The tournament begins this way: There are 4 Worlds: 8 characters per world. 1 judge per world = 4 judges, plus the remainder of judges which will be Crow and Myself and whomever remaining. = at least 6 judges. The judges for the worlds, are to create characters or to be themselves to help with the story and interaction of the worlds. Story for Tournament: Will be done like the story thread, which can be done at any time in the thread, users need to mention the world when they're posting their story so i can move that part into the site. Stories can be done anytime, during fight scenes, and even if you want you can have additional fight scenes besides the regular matches scheduled. Pre-Eliminary Matches: These matches are the fight scene matches, where the users create a match according to the schedule given and the setting given. A Record will be created from this method after the pre-eliminary matches are done. After this, nobody gets eliminated yet, because... We start up a new mini-tournament again, this time..depending on your record, you will be positioned 1st or 8th in your world. So..1 vs 8, etc.... These matches will be like the old 2nd tournament style, where judges will vote on the better character, instead of fight scenes. After this...There will be The top 2 Finalists in each world, thus, 8 characters remaining in the end. These final 8 characters will take on the judges creation, which will be a sub boss type character. This match, will be like the pre-eliminary matches, where the users will need to create fight scenes, and the better fight scene will advance. This will result in the final 4. And the final 4 will have a surprising match together. I really really hope this helps, and i hope you understand now. Thank You.

Hey, I like the format of the new tournament. Makes it interesting and I'm glad it does not take the same form of the old tournaments.

BUT, I am curious to see the other participants view on the part about creating stories for matches etc. Cus honestly, I myself am against it.
Being a judge for the 2nd tourney, I remember how it hard it was just to get the judges votes in based solely on the characters, now they have to vote not only on the characters - but the created fight scenes as well! I just think people have too much on their plates, both the judges and users, to intergrate this part of the new format effectively.

Does anyone else involved in the tournament, judges or partcipants, feel this way - or am I the only one?

I see your point, but I guess it's all good. My only question is what if someone writes a scenario in which their character loses the fight? Would the judges be more concerned with who came out the winner or the actual content of the story?

Alright,just got pm from brodeur.Im here,and am planning to be for a long time.The only time I wont be is from this sunday till tuesday in which I will be gone.Other than that,I will be here for the tournament,and will participate as much as possible.I understand the rules so that isnt a problem either,so im ready.

Okay..i see your point..
In matches where you have to make up scenes for fights..you cannot make your character lose...otherwise...it's basically saying that you're giving up, and willing to forfeit. You can do these kinds of things in separate fights besides the actual fight scenes themselves. So, there's no point in making your character lose in the actual fight itself.
Both participants must make their character win the fight using creativity.

Also, since i got some time recently to do something, i have updated the first page of this thread, where the characters' rosters and lined up schedule are placed, i have input all characters' links to word documents from the site itself.

Now that i had some more time, i don't think those are necessary...

Also, we'll need to give the tournament start time some time, in order for all character information to be finalized, that is: To make sure all character bios are given the time to be edited for each participant, and any missing pieces they need to fill in.
