Quite recently I have been looking through different Mortal Kombat fan fictions, it inspired me to create my own game. I will create this game using PowerPoint (yes, Microsoft PowerPoint, don't start with the negative comments please.) I am asking permission from a author in a minute to use two of his stories in my project. This wouldn't be a game where you go through and beat down foes and no more kontent. I am talking about doing tri monthly kontent. Kharacters in the works: Meat - Jerrod's Story Smoke - Jerrod's Story Kung Lao - GrotesqueTheBeast is working on the story Kano - A story I am working on [secretive project] The Kontent of each storyline is not necessarily canon and doesn't match up with another's story. It's meant to be this way as it is a collection of stories from different authors put into play. Each story will take place during their first appearance to a current storyline such as Armageddon or earlier like Deception or as far back as Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance.

Alright, RaisnCain has signed on to do the story for a character that will appear in the first Batch-O-Konquest. I still need spriters besides myself. I'm going to seek the help of many on this one. I want this to be a MKO exclusive.

We shall see if it is impossible, Xei. The game is a compilation of stories from different authors that have been put into a game. I ask that all authors submit one or two works my way if they want it put into a physical form.

Apologies, Xel. It's hard to see the last letter clearly with a stigmatism and small text. I assumed it was Xei.

I see a list of games but I want to do a 2D, choose your character, have cutscenes and text appear when I want to type of game.

A lot of people make that mistake, so I think the problem is less yours and more mine for having a user-name thats so easily misread.>_<

And the list is of 2D game creators, not games. But, it seems that all you want to do is a glorified PowerPoint presentation. See, in error, I thought you were trying to make something GOOD.

I want to make a game, and apologies again for saying games instead of game creators. I'm trying to make a 2d game with cutscenes and allows for text to appear whenever I so choose. Know of any like that?

You can make that pretty easily in any of the programs above, however I suggest grabbing The Games Factory 1. You can download the demo from part of Clickteam.com, and the full version activation codes are widely available on the net. Not that I'm saying you should use a pirated version of the software, but you could if you wanted to.

I just received word from Jerrod that we have permission to use his stories for Meat and Smoke. We will follow the story as clearly as possible. How I am going to make the fighting aspect memorable is beyond me as I am without 60 dollars to pay for Games Factory 2.

Now, the thing EVERYONE must realise is that the stories are a collab, the stories are not canon and don't match with one another and it is meant to be that way.

The third and final character to be released will be announced when I can get some pictures from a demo ready...I can tell you that he is a ninja, however I won't say which one.

What's powerpoint?

Sounds like something you'd use to make business presentations with, lol.

I've always wanted to make my own game, but I've heard many a bad thing obout RPG/Fighter maker, and others. -_-*
Just recently found out about the Lunarmagic Mario modder, but I can't find Mario Roms anymore. I guess my ideas are stuck in paint or on paper.
