Mortal Kombat Konquest - A Fan Game Project

Yeah, it's a presentation program but it does have choices and such that can be used to make a...gameish...thing? I want to use something like Game Factory 2 but I don't have any cash.

Sounds like something you'd use to make business presentations with, lol.

try using one of the free programs, they may be shit, but it would turn out better than on powerpoint.

I have seen things done with powerpoint that i have no idea how to do its amazing its possibillities. But there are many free game making specific programs such as the demo of gamemaker(which essentially is just as good as the paid for one except you can create shooters, online games, and edit codes to make hard things like a pokemon game.)

Yeah but what of the things I described? I haven't seen Game Maker do cutscenes and such yet.

You can add whatever you want to a GameMaker game. From cutscenes to pretty much anything else. Especially the easy things you want to do (like clicking buttons to advance the storyline, I'm guessing.)

Okay, however I'd need someone whome is familiar with said program to help. Although there are tutorials, they are basic and not very helpful for this kind of genre.

I'm lost as heck; how in the world can one make a game with PowerPoint? I've used it several times before in presentations and school projects, and I can't really see how it can make playable game... More like an animated comic strip if anything.

Umm...Jerrod, not to offend but I think you should check my last post. Whether or not you clicked the second page has yet to be seen. I do it myself occasionally. Your concern is understandable and is to be dealt with, I've taken Xel's & Meat's suggestion and have chosen to go with Game Maker.

Now I see your responses.
In all honesty, when you first asked my permission, I assumed you'd be using something like RPGMaker, didn't think for a second about PowerPoint as being your medium.

Yes it can. Very easy, you just create a stage and import a cutscene picture.
