Actually, the sprite's not half bad. Just the coloring is horrid. Remember, shading is key if you want to make a truly good sprite.

I'll give it a 2/5 for effort, it's a nice attempt, but it didn't turn out nicely like it should.

Keep practicing, and you'll get better.

Erm, well, it's a start. If your are going to keep using MSPAINT, please ask Zedox for some tips. He's a master at editing sprites in MSPAINT. The sprite IS horrid looking but I can see you halfway tried which is more than some people do. Job well done, sir. BTW, this looks a lot better than my first MSPAINT sprite edit, lol.

However, I still say you need to bump your program of choice up a notch. Use programs listed in this thread. There are trials and full programs and such. Good luck, and keep trying in the future.

If you have photoshop try adding some textures and details to his skin. The sprite itself is an ok start but it still needs a lot of work. I do quite like how youve got the shoulderpads and chestplate thing down well.

Sure as hell is better then what I can do in Paint. But it still needs work, I suggest you either use a other program, or you ask Sub-Zedox like MKR said.
