Need help with mk gameshark codes for psx for sprite ripping
Sorry, but no. They way people around here rip sprites is with emulators. Usually the arcade emulator MAME. In case you were wondering an emulator is something that allows you to emulate a certain system so you can play it's games on your computer. Acekombat has found/developed cheats for the Mortal Kombat ROMs (the game you download the emulator so you can play). They can be found here. As for the ROMs and emulators, you have to find them yourself, you're not allowed to give links to them on here.
I myself don't rip sprites, but if you're going for MK sprites, there's already a bunch at the MK Warehouse, as in, all of them. And if they're for other games, you'd have to find the cheats yourself, although once again, the link I posted above can give you the info you'd need.

To rip any sprites - best way is with an emulator. For the Trilogy ones on PSX for example, you would want to use the PSXe (a PSX emulator) to do it. Same with MKM, and the best way that I have done it is to take 2 screen shots of the character with the same sprite, but different backgrounds then paste they layers on top of each other (lining up the character) and change the layer options to "different" - it will make everything but the character black. Then simply cut out the black. PM Me if you have any questions. Also let me know if you need a more 'tutorial' type and I'll do some screen shots and a how to.

Hehe, Edit is my friend. :)
I will show a Ripping Tut for this method with MK3 images.
Ok, here is the LONG tutorial version. :) (the better way in my opinion, as you can usually get two sprites each time instead of one)
(Step 1)
Captures: Take two screen shots of the character needed, with the same background but in different spots on the screen. As shown here:
(Step 2)
Layers: Open Image A (the main one you want the sprite from) and then paste Image B as a New Layer, then paste Image A as a New Layer (so you have A, B, A) and hide the Top Image A as shown:

(Step 3)
Change the Image B layer to show as DIFFERENCE

Now it shows like this
(Step 4)
With the top layer still hidden (layer 2 in this example) MERGE the VISIBLE layers

(Step 5)
Select the area around the subject
(Step 6)
Select the Hidden Layer, making it visible, that still has you original image intact (Image A) which will now have a perfectly outlined character that you can cut out and paste anywhere for use or saving.
Let me know if this helps or you need any clarification on anything. If you have pictures from MKM that you would like me to use in this example instead send them my way and I'll use them (might make it a little clearer for some).
Worst case, if anyone here has screen shots for the characters they are trying to rip and need help post both images here and I will see (as time allows) if I can rip them for you.

Hehe, good old PSP 7! I have X2 also, but prefer 7's layout and shortcuts. The basic steps will still work for PSP7-X2, Gimp and PhotoShop though.
i tried it again, but i got 1 part of it right but the coulor is still to dark. Like i said i should get the same paintshop as u dude, that would help more greatly. U are my num1 dude, anyway i got to pass out i got work later on,i be on around 5 or 6 dude.

You can get PSP7 Trial Here, but it is only a 30 day trial.
What version do you have? I can change the tutorial pics so that they are done in the same version you have, but the options should still be the same - just in different locations.
Also if you post the pics you are using (trying the rip the sprites from) I'll rip them and make sure the issue is no in the pics.

Edited my original post to show X2 screens instead.
Yeah for the link - fileplanet requires reg, they suck, but if you have X2 already it would be better to use it.
Post some screen shots of what's happening when you try or post the images you are trying to rip in your next post

Are you going to be making full sheets of the MKM characters? I would love to see a sheet for Kia, Shinnok, and a few of the cannon fodder badies.
i'm going to try to rip them bro,but problem is i gotta make out the pallet, after the screenshot is taken,it going to take a long time to do cause i'm mostly busy with work and school, but don't worry dude. U the first 1 I'll let u know. If u wanna give it a shot Make sure to make epsxe window size 380x285, to take a screen shot is F8 on emulator. also I forgot, I might have to find a nother way to separate the sprite from the backgruond the way the mkwarehouse did it,exactly how they did it,for professional rip. Do u agree bro. That way we won't have a such a problem to fill a coulor(to chane backround coulor with sprite fully in tack) don't mind the edit, just wanted to be clear on the topic lol. I will know where to find u,and later on once i get 1 character done i'm gonna have to learn to post shit. not now but later..

I understand what you are talking about now - had to run mkm on my machine to see it - mkm uses dynamic lighting so the sprites coloring changes throughout the game. I will see if there is anything I can do for that.
