Started drawing a randum female the other day. By the time I was done I figured she looked like she might fit into the MK world quite nicely. SO far for her I've only come up with a concept and a name. I have no Idea what her history is or where her loyalties are, so if you want to in the comments you can give you opinions of what you see for her. Have fun. P.S. enhancements I tried to make to the clothing and skin are weak I know. It was the firt time trying something like that so be gentle. :)

It's good. It looks like you actually sketched this on the computer. That is so hard for me, you did a nice job. I agree, she would fit into MK but I would change that name. It just makes me think of "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle".

Pretty nice, I think she looks more like the older MK games when the costumes were more simple in design.

Fit being the operative word.
I like the weapon too- like a halberd or spear- apparently these are really effective weapons in real life, but are generally portrayed in games and movies and stuff as being not as good as swords- Not true.
Thanks. LOL. Actually my Fiance picked the name because it is her name (so I'd better not change it, I could get in trouble.) Also I did not draw her on the computer. I sketched and then scanned and colored. Thanks again for the nice comments.
Thanks for the comments. Yeah Like I said I was just doodling one day and the finished product looked like an MK character to me so I decided to post it. That's why she is so simple, because originally she wasn't supposed to be anything. I still don't have story line or backround for her.

Nice, I like it. Having her use a Naginata was a great choice.
Good design, and great job on her form overall, especially the tummy area which is difficult to get just right at times.
As to the highlights, you did a good job really. It would have looked a lot better had you used "fade to transparency" or made "Cuts" in your work to work in Alpha/Blending modes, but then that'll come with time.
Check out Polykarbon as it's a great site for a few small tutorials on that, and their forums are a good spot for solid critiques too.

I like the pic, but for some reason, its a little simple you know?
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. And like with Kiara I will keep the advice in mind. Thanks.
