Thanks. I just tried it just now and you're right, it does look better. I edited my other post to make it the one with the black border. Since the entire sig was pretty much black I thought that it could use a white border but I guess I was wrong.

I first worked on this sig a little while ago about 60% done so I just figured I should finish for the fun of it. I guess it turned out pretty ok but I think it could've been better.

Yup yup. I've been using this same sig for about a year now and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon.

Too plain, I think you have a great START to a signature, the use of the same colours...possibly the render duplicated into the background and fucked up to make it look like it was a completely seperate background is one of my favorite techiques to background making but that is just the beggining of a signature.

You need to learn a few new tricks to update that image, like I said its a brilliant start and for now while you are starting out you should start most of your signatures like this...but then continue, learn a few lighting tricks, then depth and direction....all sorts of things like that.

I would say go learn text but fuck....ME, Pred, Minion, dev and all us regular sig makers still can't get that spot on every time its a nightmare for even the best signature makers in the world i suppose.

The best way to learn how to be a realy good sig maker is TRIAL AND ERROR, you have layers coppy them....fuck it up you just delete it and try again....I have currently lost my way since i havent made anything for so long I have to start all over again to be good at this again but im getting there.

One last thing, Blur, sharpen, Burn, dodge.....all your bestest friends when used properly.

Made some more actually, just this morning. All with the same render, so it'd be easy to compare. I also made them different colors, but won't post those until I know these are good. That way I don't seem like I'm pumping up mediocrity.

Man don't you hate when you make a good sig or two but then after that you get stuck and don't know when you're ever gonna make a nice one again? That's where I'm at right now and don't know what to do. I just started like 3 different sigs and don't know what to do with either of them.

Normally I have this one font that works for literally EVERYTHING, sadly, after my comp crashed I got it fixed and didn't have it, have to go redownload when I'm not too lazy

And Vash, the one you are using is the best...its good to keep similar colours but make sure you can see the render aswell, again you begun your sig but then stopped at the beggining....to make good signitures you have to elaborate on what you already have.
