It looks really good, but one of the tentacles (second to the right) switches position in the two pictures. Looks a bit weird. But other than that, it looks really good. Love the blood river.

Awesome fake! Kinda reminds me of a scene from "hostel" ...
Edit: Took a better look at the fake...Got to agree with jaded-raven.The "tentacle" looks awkward ,not because the tentacle shifts ,it's more that the exit hole from the ground shifts it's position...

Am not feeling this as much as your other stuff =/...

The lifebars look..weird. Perhaps the colors, especially the timer.

Skarlet's Sanctuary looks great but the reflection from the stained glass on the blood river look too solid. Also don't find it necessary for the right side stained glass to be flipped opposite.
I would've went with a different execution pose for Jax. rather then have his legs dangling up. Go with a Shang Tsung approach:


I feel as if there's too much going on and everything color matches too much: Skarlet, the river blood, the tentacles, the blood oozing out. It's a nice idea, but everything could be "organized" a little better. Hope my criticism doesn't discourage you.

If you've seen Skarlet's fatality, then you'd know that's how the legs look like on the victim, so no need to change that.

Oh okay I had to go to youtube and take a closer look at Skarket's fatality. You're right. I guess what throws me off is how much everything blends. Maybe if the BG was darken (Fatality sequence) it wouldn't interfere with the blood river.

First of all, you ought to be applauded for tackling this kind of fatality and actually executing it well.

Let’s talk about the background:
1. The riffles (small waves) in the water are a nice touch but you have to wonder what is causing all this motion in the pool to begin with. Nothing is swimming in it.... Right?
2. As illusion noted, the reflection is a bit too “strong” and should be not as noticeable. The inverted stained glass is a bit awkward.
3. The blood stains on the wall are fine around Liu Kang, but the big one on the right underneath the inverted window doesn’t look like a splatter at all.
4. The blood stains on the floor need better shading and don’t go well at all with the puddle from Jax’s blood-vomit puddle.
5. The gore editing on Liu Kang is fucking fantastic. I just think the hole in his chest looks out of place, perhaps it should have been a laceration or a series of them.

Skarlet Sprite:
1. It’s good to see Skarlet with red hair this time. But instead of drawing it out like Skarlet’s actual hair you just changed the color.
2. You added her little Kunais which is a great touch and her loin cloth doesn’t look so two-dimensional and stiff as before (yes, I am actually looking at your old Skarlet fakes and comparing them).
3. The swords look as good as they always have, but the blood on Frame #2 doesn’t look as good as your part 2 fake.

The Fatality:
1. As I stated, you should feel proud and accomplished for doing something nobody has done before. Instead of some boring fake of her standing there looking stupid, or some lame special move, you actually pulled off one of the most disturbing and brutal fatalities in MK9.
2. The spiked tentacles look so damn good, I want to say you cut them out of the video game. Obviously it’s not what you did. They just look that fucking amazing. I too noticed on of them changes from frame 1 to frame 2, but then I realized had you not done that, it would have covered Skarlet’s sprite and pretty much ruined it. I understand your decision but I suppose you should have used the tentacle in frame 2 in frame 1 as well.
3. Jax’s entrails look awesome. The blood splashing on Skarlet is freaking awesome too. The blood oozing down her face and dripping all over her body... oh wow. Just WOW. I love it.

I can’t get over that stupid font you used for the timer. I like the life bars though.
