Awesome job on the editing for your first attempt. You got a whole lot better. Good job on the background, it looks like a 3-D environment. The sprites are awesome, especially the creative designs. Keep up the pace. smile.

This piece is cool! You got Rayden and Rain trading ligghtning bolts and they look great. The Costumes are a nice touch. Baybe you could have added something to the background. Maybe you could have added rain showers.

WoW man great job. The lightning effects are great looking. Your edited sprites look amazing. I really like what you did with Raiden. The background is very well done as well. It really fits the pic. Good job man 4/5

The clash of thunder and the background rain effects remind me of an episode of DBZ. smile Anyways, I noticed that Rain had electricity on his body as he was summoning the thunder bolt. Also raidens outfit looked more god like. Great job, I rate it 3/5.

Nice job on the background. I really like that you decided to edit alot of things and make them yourself. The background is very original, i like the cliffs. They look awesome. The lightning effect also look very goood. The background does look a little plain and too clean. the rain effect is nice, could have showed the impact of the rain on the floor and on the bodies. The sprites look really good for a first attempt. Raiden looks awesome, he does need some work but it looks very good. I dont really like his pose. The Rain sprite looks good too, i dont like his head though, it looks odd. Awesome job overall 4/5
Really nice job here.

The background looks a bit plain, but other than that, I love it.

You’ve done a great job on this picture, I like the dark foreboding sky and the rain it really suits the two characters who are battling it out. My main criticism would be that awkward area where the ground meets the sky, perhaps you could have added a little more detail along the horizon to prevent the appearance of an endless arena.

Thanx again for the feedback! Rain and Raiden are personal favourites of mine, so i tried my hardest to make this my best fake yet. smile

Believe me, I sat at my computer for at least 10 minutes every day i worked on this fake, just thinking what could I put in the backgroud. Nothing I tried worked right, so I left it to good ol' Raiden and Rain to hog the spotlight for themselves.
Actually, before I sent this one in, i had a spiral of clouds around the top with a red lightning bolt shooting out, but it looked too awkward wiht the other lightning bolts, so i cut it out.
You could make the background get darker as it gets further away, and at the very end, between the 2 mountains, where the sky touches the floor.

You could have some mountains that are pure black, just so it looks more real.

It needs something back there.

The color of the floor should be more brown and dirty looking with moss and stuff, so it matches more with the mountains.

But that's just My opinion.

The shadows could look more realistic.

How I make shadows is, I make a copy of the character sprite.

Then I select the sprite that is behind, and make it pure black.

Then I squash it and skew it to the side a little.

That way you get a perfect shadow.

Then you can make it transparent too so it blends more with the background.

You might have to paint the feet of the shadow, to make it connect with the sprite's feet, but that only takes a few seconds, so it's no problem. wink

This is great advice, it should definitely be helpful on my future fakes. Thanx a lot!! smile
