This is pretty good, but it has a few flaws that you might want to fix.
I'll just point them out, sorry if I sound harsh, it's not my intention.

1: The Spear's rope needs a highlight, and a different color.
Use a darker brown, and if you can, make a copy of that rope layer. Set the Rope that's behind to a light color, almost white, then move the white rope up a few pixels.
This will make the rope look like it's round.
2: The blood coming from cage is shown as start, and finish, with the blood squirting up, and splatters on the floor.
You need some intermediate positions for the blood. So put some blood at Waist, and knee height. Not much, but enough to make it look like it's moving.
3: The shadows for Scorpion, Cage, Sonya and Kano are way too big.
The shadows on top of the background make the characters look like giants.
For example Scorpion and Cage's shadows should not even reach the Temple stairs.
Sonya's shadow should be squashed Vertically some more, and shrunken. Same with Kano's shadow.
I would also darken the blood up some, it's just too bright and looks cartoony.
It's like that in the game, but it's still too bright.

You might want to do something with the sky too, turn it red with a giant portal, or something.
It looks a little plain just blue.
I like the fireball effects with Raiden and Shao Kahn, that came out awesome.
Now, Shao Kahn's pose looks a little weird. You might want to use a more suitable one, like maybe his punch animation, or the eye beam pose.
You could edit some sprites too to make the pose you want.
I also like Scorpion's pose, and the way you wrapped the spear around Cage.
Cage's pose is awesome too, it looks like he is really struggling with the spear.
You might want to edit Cage's head, find a pic where he is screaming and use that head to give him more life.
That's all I can think of.
It's just stuff to keep in mind for your next fake, or you might want to update this one.
