Another great shading pic with a lot of textures and details but I don't think it would fit on the category of MK. But its very nice keep up the good work as always.

Hmm well I was told at this site I could upload MK fan characters?? =/...
Cause yess Vichien Mat is my own creation for my MK RPGs I'm in.
Which I wanted to make a character that wasn't just another outworld chick with some task/mission, or another bodysuit/ninja design...
(no offense to anyone, I actually love all fan chars)

I admit she is a little off the wall for MK related stuff, though the two RPGs I play her in are MK3 based and MK5 so I fancy she'd fit into those games decently..
But I'm so happy you like her design, I really like designing fan characters for some reason, kinda challendge to make something different yet hopefully suiting to its sorce material...

Any MK fan art is accepted here as long as AcjBazar passes it along. There have actually been a few Street Fighter pics put up so don't think twice about it.

Drawing: Wonderful shading, the detail patterns in some of the clothing is stupendous. I'm sitting here trying to find something wrong with it but I'm having a really hard time. The only thing that slightly bugs me is the proportions in the face but that seems more a style preference than an error. Very good.

Concept: Different obviously. This strikes me as an attempt to get a cat person into the game. Nothing wrong with that but I would say that this character would fit better in MKDA than the previous games. As you say they are too Spandexy (word?). MKDA on the other hand is a total deversion from those older styles so the big complex costume fits well.

Wow, thats superb. Great shading and design. The costume overall looks great, I like the Helmet you gave her it looks good, as does almost every aspect of the picture. Though her shirt seems to go just a little low im not saying thats a bad thing though. One of the best pics ive seen in a while, keep them coming.

Oh I admit my two character are animal types because I wanted to see more animal themed/totem fighter types in MK.
Though her being the cat and my other character being a dog was a yin and yang theme I stuck with.
LOL Her orginal design was alot more spandex/way to tight like former game designs, but when I redesigned her I went with my normal style of art and I love MK;DA designs.. So I'm not surpized she more suits that game designs..
Plus I draw characters with too much layered clothing =P

So, Tammy, what technique do you use to shade? I mean what do you do with the pencil, not your light logic.

I try little circles that blend together.

Well, Vichien looks very original. The face is very well drawn, and the character seems to have a cool story behind her. But she won't fit into MK. Maybe she'll fit into Bloody Roar or something.

Wow, another fantastic piece of work from you Tammy, it just gets better and better each time. The amount of time you've put into this piece of work is amazing. As usual, all the details are there, the shading is incredibly detailed, and the design itself has been executed to perfection.
