Any fake that someone may make will need a template or similar from a past MK Game.

Are you asking for people to make the characters from scratch using an MK style palette? If so then i'm out cos thats nigh on possible unless you make video games.

Now, if you allow the editing of past MK game sprite's to make new MKD ones then i'm in cos thats the only logical way it can be done for fake makers young and old.

I'm saying you can't use previous mk sprites as THEY ARE. You must edit it. Sorry for not being clear.

Believe me, you can make alot of stuff with just a little bit of info. I made a MKD Scorpion sprite with just a blur (literally, ask ] ). I made backgrounds that were a little blurry as well. I know that you said your in, im just explaining this stuff. With the abundance of pics and videos, you can definetly make a good quality fake pic of MKD. BTW, there were kontest's with MKDA fakes in it b4 that came out as well.

You will be making 2d backgrounds, and 2d sprites.
No use of MKD images. (I was saying that with the blurry picture, i was able to edit my sprite by looking at the picture)
You use other mk sprites to edit to MAKE NEW SPRITES. I don't want to see a sprite that is from another MK game (that includes from fire to a statue). Use the MKD lifebars as well, if not, you may use MKDA ones (if you don't want to rip it that is).
So basically.
EDIT EVERYTHING. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

You don't need a 'finished' background. You just need a picture of a background and use it to make it. Just like this:

Alright then. I guess (for more people to be involved) that you can make your own background. Just MKD sprites used.

OK.. I'm still in... I'm going to put a little too much effort into this. As for the background... I have a few in mind.

I have made a fake today that I beleive qualifys for this konmp in every possible way,I'm new to this board but I'm absolutly sure there are people here that know me.so do I PM you the pic or do I post it here..I'm used to PMing people the pic but I'm not quite sure how things work over here exactly.

I'll be honest, I think you're setting your standards a little too high. You'll get good fakers like Midget Kong, MaxDam, yourself submitting fakes, but you're denying quite a few fakers, like myself to enter, because we might suck at sprite edits, or background edits etc.

I know I have set my standards high. I meant this to be a higher level of fake making. I am doing this to show people how fakes should look like. If I set the bar higher, more people (hopefully, and hypothetically) should strive to make a better fake. Alot of people's skillz have gone down since the 'break' of new mk news and other things have taken thier place such as Fanart and Sprite comics. I won't say animations did because 'ani's' been here for a while as well (Flash-Crash was like the best of his time). So yes, I did set the bar higher and I want to make people better. So just try your best, I will except all entries and they will be posted. If I see a fake that would most likely not win, I will post it. I am giving people a chance to do better things with fakes, with new ways of making sprites look. There are different styles, and I want to bring that out. I will tell you for one, my style is to make my sprites to look like they were from a previous mk game. I will say (and I'm sure he agrees with me since we already talked about it) that MaxDam's style is more of a realistic type of sprite. There are many more in which people can create, they just have to find their style and make it thier own. As I said b4, for the sake of letting more people in, I won't have to make the contest HAVE mkd backgrounds since that is alot of work (trust me, I know, *ms paint* ). So make your sprites, an ORIGINAL background and a move or fatality of your choosing.

I hate to say this but maybe next time I'll join in... I've been trying to squeeze in time to make this fake and I have no time availiable with the projects that I have going.
