Should the cast in the MK movies have Big Time aCtors that can play the role with Drama and the emphasis it's needed, or they should be Martial Artist that can kick ass but lack the acting abilities, therefore what you rather have an intriguing plot with so so fighting scenes or good fighting scenes with lack of good acting?

Well, why not find the best available martial artists for roles that don't need a lot of acting. Like, for example, I wouldn't call Chris Cassamassa the best actor, but he plays a perfect scorpion.

I don't think they need big name actors (I doubt many would sign on for a Mortal Kombat movie anyways) but I'd rather see actors who can do martial arts, rather than martial artists who attempt to act, unless like Biohazard said - they play roles where they don't have too much dialogue etc.
Or, hire actors - and then do a good job in the editing room so you can't tell that it's the stunt doubles. One thing I really hated in MKA was how incredibly obvious that it's james remar's stunt double in the Raptor fight.

What they said.
A little of both. It depends upon the character. Some characters are more dramatic & require better acting, & others are more for fighting & brute strength so acting talent isn't as important. MK is more about martial arts than a dramatic acting, so having martial artists would be important for a movie like that. A fighting movie doesn't need great actors, just great stuntpeople.

A combination of both, so its balanced.

Exactly.
Yeah, kinda like in the first Mortal Kombat movie. Lindin Ashby was Johnny Cage, but when it came to fighting Scorpion, J.J. Perry was the one dancing with him. Any character that wore a mask had a stuntman behind it. Chris Cassamassa, who's not known to do much acting, was behind the firey corpse of Scorpion. Talisa Soto plays the all-too-beutiful Kitana, but Dana Hee plays the Edinian's warrior side. She's played a lot of female fighters, as she was the double in MKC as Taja as she's fighting, Milleena in MKA, and both Mika and Sion while fighting as Quan Chi's warriors in MKC.
