Have a little more faith guys. Afterall, this is just a rumor at this point. Its not like BloodyDisgusting.com has always been right with the rumors they report. One that comes to mind is that Freddy and Jason were gonna be DLC characters and released on halloween for MK. Of course we ended up getting Freddy, but there was no Jason nor did we get him on halloween. Case in point, its just a rumor. Anybody can start a rumor.

Besides, this is just a plot rumor. It doesn't go into detail, it doesn't give you any sort of theme or idea of what to expect. Just a very bare bones one line simplistic plot synopsis. You can't really judge how good the movie could be or what it actually intails based off of one line. There's been worse plots that turn out to be a great movie, and greater plots that turn out horrible. It all depends on the writing, acting, budget, and directing.

MK fans have put up with some crap in the past, but soooo many of us complain and are quick to judge before enough is even shown or known to fairly critique.

For what its worth, I HIGHLY doubt WB would put so much stock into the online series and the game, o ly to turn. around and completely trash the movie. Give it time til official info is out until you throw it under the bus.

I think it's a bit early to decide if the movie will do well or not based on a rumor, even if the rumor becomes legit then I'd still advise to hold back on the negative comments until you at least give it a try first, as a community shouldn't we be alot more supportive of our own favourite franchise?

that being said if it becomes aparant that Kevin Tancharoen has screwed us over and gives us a movie that isn't anything to do with Mortal Kombat after waiting so many years THEN I'd suggest we all hunt him down and make him realise he messed with the wrong people.

after waiting 14 years for a new MK movie I expect to see the MK characters accurate to the MK game both in story and appearance playing out a canon MK story or one closely related, I liked episodes 1,2 and 7 in Legacy the best, if the MK movie plays out something similar to that then I think it will be a future hit at the box office.

I can't wait to see Mortal Kombat on the big screen again and I hope to see characters that missed out on the first two MK movies get a chance to shine- particularly Kabal and Stryker, show us Kabal's accident and how he became disfigured!

I think...or rather I hope its just a rumor. I was very impressed with MKR and MKL and I don't want to think that it is the best KT could come up with for the new movie. It's really sounds a bit "off", even for me.

TKevin had me f***ing convinced he could do this, even through all the crappy movies he has done. He had my blessing at the rebirth trailer because it was dark, gretty and it had some sort blood. And through the web series because it was true and close enough to the real story which was very respectful, and i ignored the disappointing fact it was nothing like the rebirth trailer. i dont care if this movie wont be like the rebirth trailer or if it is sh*t and cheesy as long as it's close to the original story line because i can watch mortal kombat annihilation all day long.

That was more planned out then this plot line. that was awsome and actually made me laugh through this tragedy mortal kombat is going through. Thanks.

As I keep trying to point out....The Rumor is more than likely BS and KT's recent tweet kind of validates the belief that it is BS

If the next movie is a reboot of MK/MK Annihilation, then I expect:

1. Rated "R" - Fatalities for crying out loud make MK what it is, and may Zsa Zsa Gabore get one last slap and slap the $hit out of whom made the 1st 2 films in one swing; wow they missed the biggest mark possible on a bullseye and deserve the ratings they got, literally! I think I can speak on behalf of everyone that they went the cheap route with the simplest possible Finishing Moves: Toasty (yet Cage tore apart a fiery SKELETON - again no blood), Ice Grenade that completely shattered that unknown waiste, Jade was swallowed whole assumed, Kano get's his neck broke, etc.

Dammit, we want BLOOD: spinal chord rip, head explosion, Kitana's MK2 Kiss of Death, skin ripping, Jax's Arm ripper, Reptile's head snack done right, actual burning up, and literally Kung Lao's vertical slice!!!

2. Iconic stages: that crap I guess they considered the Living Forest in the 1st film was a joke; The supposed Pit 1 was actually Shang Tsung's Spike Bed Fatality which he summoned and was confused as our Pit 1; Deadpool would make a great addition.

3. Don't forget about Kung Lao, Sektor, and Kintaro this time!!! At least Kung Lao LOL!!! (also I don't recall Ermac being part of Noob Saibot???)
