Nice. I just wonder who will show up to help Takeda. I'm thinking of Sub-Zero and Bo Rai Cho. I also feel that the next three chapters are gonna be fillers (since it's focusing on Scorpion) just to keep the final conclusion of the comic a little away (3-4 weeks) from the readers.

So happy Sheeva has finally been getting some spotlight. I cannot wait to see her back and playable again one day!

I just watched 5 minutes of the Hunger Games, it made clear the motivation behind half the new roster/ 90% of story mode.

Takeda is about to take on the "Fatal 8". Now we know this was coming but seriously, how does Takeda even stand a chance? Cassie got a lot of flack for beating Shinnok at the top of his game, but Takeda is about to fight 8 motherfuckers with Blood Magik super strength.

At least Cassie had Green Energy which is apparently on par with being a Super Saiyan. Takeda just has whips lol

As always, someone will probably show up and remove the curse from the eight (I doubt they will let Takeda cut off some limbs from the heroes) or take everybody down. If they kill Havik the curse goes off? If it does it's probably how they're gonna solve the problem. Bam, out of nowhere someone kills Havik without him noticing. Maybe Shinnok himself after getting out of the ammulet?

Yes but Havik has Raiden. And that guy solo'd the entire island earlier. But I did forget that Takeda has other people to help him. Which I'm glad for because I'm not sure how much more bullshit I can swallow from this series.

This comic just keeps getting more and more absurd with each passing week, if it's possible.

It's honestly just as bad as the crapfest that was the story mode. I think the only reason people like it is because it has characters who weren't in the game. The only bright spot is that Rain was quickly (and humorously) reduced to an afterthought.

Are you guys happier with Havik's portrayal now? A lot of people said it was wrong to see him being a standard villain who wants to take out the Elder Gods but that was just Reiko. Havik's plan was to use the amulet to destroy the Netherrealm and create chaos in the order found in the circle of life.

He also hates the champions for trying to create order when things go wrong.

That's much more in line with Deception Havik.

Agreed. Reiko served his purpose and looked like a badass 95% of the time he was involved. They've done incredible justice to Sheeva. Made the Shokans a hell of a lot more interesting as a species. Got rid of Hsu Hao yet again. Made Mavado a bit of a badass the time that he was around. Made Kotal Kahn interesting and relatable as compared to his portrayal in the game. Actually used Skarlet and made her cool as well since NRS will probably let her go to waste. Brought in more Black Dragons and made their albeit brief appearances cool as hell (Hello Tasia and Jarek).

Overall, there have been some flukes (Fujin, wtf? Teens go ham) but the majority of what Kittelsen is doing, in my eyes, is wonderful and miles ahead of the stuff they've been trying to shove into the games recently.

Lol But in all seriousness while I like the Kombat kids I usually don't care for making other characters look like nothing to get the point across that the new guy/girl can fight. However, all we have seen is him cut off Havik's arm, we don't know how this will turn out yet for Takeda.

Lol it's STATUTE of limitation. And it doesn't mean what you think it means. That said, I completely agree with what you're trying to say. It is bad enough Cassie was randomly thrown in as saviour of Earthrealm with almost no foreshadowing other than her father has the magical "green energy". But now Takeda, who up to this point has been utterly useless, is now capable of taking down the God of Thunder, Earthrealm's champion, a telekinetic super warrior who can dismember people with a flick of his wrists, two of the strongest warriors in Outworld contending for power and the General of Special Forces?

I still wonder why people think Kittelson is such a good writer.

Holy shit people. Takeda showed up as the only line of defense. He hasn't beaten anyone yet.

Takeda sucked in the story. He got ambushed by Reptile, used his psychic abilities on Ermac, and almost feel from the temple among other things.

He uses mildly popular 3D characters so he's god.
