The ending is NOT a rumor anymore. It was thought to be a rumor until Kunglao the Mod from the oficial site cleared things up about MKC. And the official site died so there is no way i can get solid proof. I'm only stating what I know to be true.

Look, Mortalkombat.com, the only official source for MKC info (besides www.mortalkombatconquest.com ) stated for a long time on it's OFFICIAL Mortal Kombat timeline that what happened after MKC was that the Elder Gods simply undid Kahn's evil doing. Is it stupid? Yes, but so is MKA and both things are canon and official for the MK movie world. No dream, no Omegis, nothing. The official story is that the Elder Gods fixed things, period.

In fact threshold don't consider Conquest a good business,at least in recent time will not see a second series.Is it true?

The ending id very unpredictable but i have to say a thing:
I like a lot Anihiliation and one of the accuses made from fans to the movie is the recyclng of some scene(the death of Baraka/rain for xample) but his damned recycling si also on Conquest with the recycllation of some scene from the first movie(for example the zombie that cotains reptile) or the fight between sub zero and siro (that fight ended with Sub Zero jumping over some clothes) and the fight betwen Kung Lao and rain with the same finall scene.
