omfg, Mileena blowed ass in MKA! I hate how they potrayed her in the movie. Why the f*** is she fighting Sonya? Maybe the director ran out of characters to fight with Sonya so he put in Mileena who can care less about Sonya.

Robo-Smoke?
Every single TV I've played with Robo-Smoke on, and in the arcades, he has had a blue tint..am I the only one who noticed this?
He wasn't all silver/white/grey

Noob Saibot, no just J.J. Perry overall is a good actor/stunt man for the MK movie.

Hmm not trying to brag, but the perfect protrayel of Scorpion is a short story I wrote.
Basically his intro is what sells it.

Subs is captured and Scorpion goes stealthly hell like ninja on everyone in the compound. Think Spawn, Resident Evil, Ghostrider, Batman, but good. Basically cursed and now protecting Subs.

His first shot is actually the spear being dragged ont the floor, and someone sees it around the corner. Suddenly its given a yank up as the blade flies up slitting the thug's throat. By the end of this scene, Sonya Blade turns on all the lights in the compound (she was there for another reason) and she is horrified to see all but Subs smiling as EVERYONE ELSE IS HUNG & IMPALED BY SPEARS from the ceiling.

I like it! But why does Scorpion do it? If he wanted to kill OR save Sub Zero why is Subz left smiling in the room when Sonya comes in? And why was Subz captured anyways? But I do like the concept of the scene...

Okay I didn't reveal the full scene but heres a few more details.
Quan-Chi and Jarek are working together to corrupt the Lin Qui. They have captured Smoke and Sub-Zero for escapion the automation procedure, but Quan-Chi wants to know where Subs is hiding the amulet that will allow Shinnok to be freed from the Neitherrealm. Sonya is trying to capture Jarek as he has killed many (I wrote him as Hannibal Lector on sterioids) and has tracked them down to a wearhouse on a harbour in China. She is neglecting Commander Jax as she in in full personal vendetta mode. Subs knows Scorpion will protect him after his deal with him in MK2 (the video game and I ignore most parts of MKA but I do recreate a battle b/w Shao and Liu in a nighmare, but thats another story). Basically this scene sets up Sonya getting in hot water with the govt, Smoke being killed by Jarek and turned into a robot (which Subs fights later in a very emotional battle), and Jax being attacked by Jarek (he shreds his arms! thus requiring the implants), and also to plant a seed in doubt about a soldier named Hsu Hao who left Jax defenseless.

I honestly think Threshold should really get into contact with me. I'd do the film for free (well okay money for living during the shoot).

Shang Tsung was played to perfection in MK1. To a point that everytime a new game is mentioned I pray it has an alt. outfit that resembles the movie version with the trench coat etc.

In MK1:

Shang was well done, great evil feel to him.

Liu was your typical Liu, good fight scenes, he really had "the chosen one" feel to him.

Kitana was good, all mysterious...

Rayden was VERY good. Really liked him, Christopher Lambert rocks! I thought they changed him in the 2nd movie cause he couldn't fight or something, but then I saw Beowolf... He's a really good fighter, one of my favouites.

Sub-zero and Scorpion didn't really have a chance to portray their characters or stories cause they were being controlled by Shang (which just goes to show you how powerful a sorcerer Shang is). They did come off looking really good in the movie though, fight scenes were well choreographed except for the parts where it seemed Sub was running from Liu.

Johnny was awesom in the movie too, provided comic relief and was an all round smartass. I agree with the comment made earlier about how he was a pretty boy, smartass, but could back himself up if needed.

Sonya was a poor fighter, but good looks and acting.

Reptile was well done, shown as a really quick fighter just like in the game but I think that when he was defeated, he should have run away before Liu could squash him *big long groaning noise*

Goro was done pretty good, I thought the effects were awesome and he was shown as a very powerful and merciless fighter.

I liked the way Kano was played, a real jerk and always taunting Sonya, but I don't like the fact that he pleaded like a girl before he died.

Overall, the MK1 movie was very good, nicely introduced the MK tournament and the whole MK universe.

In MKA:

Liu, same as in MK1

Kitana was similar to MK1

Rayden was "shocking" BRING BACK LAMBERT (must be one of the most common requests for the MK3 movie)

Scorpion wasn't too bad in this one but yeah, the line "suckers" really put him away... Pretty good fight scene with Sub.

Sub was just plain wrong... Good show of his freezing ability but Mexican, really? He also seemed like a bit of a skinny nerd to me.. I reckon he needed a bigger role..

Smoke wasn't there for long, and he doesn't have missiles!!

Johnny died.

Sonya was a very excellent fighter in this one, but the "feel" of her character wasn't right.

Reptile, 3 times? C'mon...

Motaro and Sheeva, not too bad, but both died pathetically, I reckon Motaro should've been killed by some type of weapon or falling boulder or something, not by a few of Jax's uppercuts..

Noob and Ermac were wimps, c'mon, should've been able to take out Sonya no problem. And NO, Ermac does not give birth to Noob, WRONG.

Shao was a bit of a wuss, needed to be played by some big ass bad guy...

Rain died.

Baraka was pretty cool, but he did die a bit quick. Should've escaped instead.

Mileena, what the hell was she doing? Pretty good fight though.

Cyrax was cool, I especially love the bit where he flip twists onto the table.

I never liked Stryker or Kabal.

Jax's lines and acting were bad.

Overall, this movie is an obvious dissapointment to all MK fans and was seen as utter crap by everyone else!

I hope they pull it together and increase the budget on the 3rd one. Wouldn't mind seeing a movie based on the Sub and Scorp storylines alone...
