Now, don't get me wrong, I really liked Cage, especially, in the first movie. However, I can't begin to see how they would work Cage into the storyline, without messing it up. Cage is one of my favorite (if not the most) characters of all time. But, to bring him back to life...I think that would come out as neing unoriginal. That's like the producers saying, I've run out of creative character ideas, so I'm going to recycle one of the old ones.

The movie will most likely automatically suck if they bring Cage back. It's foolish to ressurect characters in games. It's worst to ressurect characters in movies. That's why the DBZ movie will blow.

I think it is. I mean, its the games story the movie is supposed to follow! Besides, cage is one of the Mk originals, people will be happy to see him back (not all, most).

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!........*gasps for air*

No.....Wait......SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

The producers might hear you!

...If they follow the game...*gasp*...then It will fuck the movie up. MK did not follow the story of the game, they just took many of the games Ideas and came up with their own story. MKA went almost excactly with the storyline of UMK3 which is half the reason MKA sucked.....If they do it again.....*gasp*...were screwed.

I actually think that to follow the MKDA storylie is the best thing they could ever do!!! The story of MKDAis very intensed and well developed.

HELLO!!!!!!!!! have you even seen a game based movie that sticks to the original story line??

Hollywood always f*cks it up, the might get the ideas from MKDA but they will change allot of things and then nothing is original anymore.

As much as i like Cage, its better to let him be dead, If they deside to bring him back i hope they do it spectaculiar and not have him appear as if nothing happened. I guess they'll bring him back, after all, he is an american hero. And american hero's never die

I hope they bring back Cage, and I agree with you ScorpionsBrother that they should make it an event and not like nothing ever happened. But Cage in my opinion is an essential character to the games and movies, he had a good story in the first film trying to proove himself to the world. I think Cage is also important for comic relief, but if they write him jokes like Jax said in MKA make him a serious character because Jax pissed me off with his "comic relief" which wasn't comedy at all.

I agree, but Jax never pissed me off. BUT, think about it, it would be Ok, if the movie HAD some little short jokes, funny parts, but not ALL the time. Many cool directed films have sucked to me for their stupid jokes, like in the "Mummy Returns", you are facing dead, about to die and start making some stupid funny jokes when some Mummy is about to eat U, a Scorpion going to kill U, and a woman with a Cobra about to poison U.

i just hoope they dont do that in Mk3.

That would be funny. Picture Sonya runnig to the arms of Cage, he is also running to greab her and kiss with passion, then when they are close enough Sonya starts kicking his ass for having die for her and not letting her "take care of herself"....then later she could kiss him.

No I want there to be jokes but make them good ones like in the first film, nearly everything Jax said in MKA was defintily not funny.

Actually I liked some of Jax jokes in MKA, and yes, in the first film the ebst jokes/funny parts came from Sonya and Cage. I want them back! Cages funny style and Sonyas sarcasm was great!

I still didn't really like (or ever picture) Jax as a funny guy, I always pictured him as a strict guy who followed the rules in contrast to Sonya.

But I agree with what you said about Cage and Sonya

''but they will change allot of things and then nothing is original anymore.''

that line is a bit contrasting, ain't it.
if they stick to the story, it's not original. It's only seeing it again as movie. Hardly worth much. And MK's story won't develop, if they follow the story exactly. If they did, they could use MKDA's intro video. Besides, it would make loopholes, to follow the games' story exactly. Games and movies have different storylines so far. That way, there's no use nor profit in a movie.

Movie is something else, which is also MK.

more on topic, bringing Cage back... would take away the point from dieing. Then there's no use in having someone die, it doesn't add anything. No dramatical stuff, no sadness.

perhaps, if it would show, how Cage was back temporarily. How his soul went to hell or something, and is helping heroes while they're down there. Then it would work. If they didn't resurrect him, yet give him a part temporarily.

I agree on that. BUT, if they manage to bring him back in some well explained and unbeleivable way, it would work. Imagine of they need Tsung back for Mk3, if they base it on MKDA (wich is most likely to happen), they could make QUan use black magic and somehow bring Tusng back, THAT would work, saying the charm only works one or shit like that.

The way they made Cage come back in the games after he died, the idea that his soul couldent pass heavens and all was good. So, I really think it would be a good idea.

Ressuecting Cage would be one of the worst ideas they could ever think of. Even if you are a Cage fan you would have to admit that that would screw up the whole entire movie.

Well we can all look at it like this.. They have some good directors. And someway they could work him in. But either way if he does come back it would be interesting to see his new look.

jonny cage: american pansy.
a movie star, he's a good fighter to bring to life. just so he can make passes at snoya.

that's why they'd do it. no ifs, ands or buts about it. i like him, IN THE GAME. always kicking butt, hitting peapol in the nads, (GIVE HIM THAT MOVE BACK IN MK6!) but, he's just comic relef. get styrker, kai, frost, that blood-sucking natara, kabal or even liu kano to be the dumb love stuck loser. here's why:
frost: icy lesbo!
natara: gothic lesbo!
styrker: "who want to get abord the styrker express?"
kai: "i so miss liu, want to sleep with me in pity?"
kabal: see the cartoon, tons of lovey-dovey crap. heck, might win a osker or something.
liu kano: she fall head over heels when he steals that punk's body, and wlod love to make kano puke in heck by doing something nasty.
