That was a picture someone did for the magazine cover, it wasn't an official picture from MKDA. In the actual game it is hanging off his belt.
in the movie scorpion's spear is seen to be alive i thank that is good it gives the movie more of an edge to scorpion beacuse he could see throgh the eyes of his spear like in the woods if he throw his spear it would just go one way but i thank that it would make more sence if he could guide the spear throw the eyes of the spear

In the game he throws in the movie i think he shoots, the thing in the movie is cool anyway i think it would be mad to have a creature like that shoot out of your hand at will, But it would probably go through the person you shoot it at and they would be dead.

I love to take risks just for fan approval! The rush and excitement from the crowd is all that matters to me!

In the movies, he shoots a reptile-like spear from his palm...which was much cooler anyway...you could've given anybody a stupid spear from under their wrist. In the video games scorpion throws it from under his wrist. Sorry, still not better than his shooting from his palm. It's just cooler period.

I always thought (before the movie) that it came from his palm or maybe wrist but that it was a regular spear type thing, not some living entity. Then the movie came out I was like "huh, thats cool, but I still think its just a spear (or harpoon, whatever)" Then DA came out and ruined it for me by showing him holding the end of it in his hand. It kind of took some of the magic away (that sounds really lame but thats the only thing I could think of to describe it) now reading some of the above posts I do notice that the rope after the part that comes from his gauntlet it kind of dissapears into his forearm. So maybe thats where it comes from. So I still beleive it's a part of him, just not alive or a creature or anything.

I prefer the shooting but in the first movie it got stuck in the tree, how did he get another one?

Both good. The Movie version is even cheesier than the original games, so the snake fits, but the spear is better.
Having a spear that Scorpion throws is kooler; it's more real, more horrible and more sinister than that fairly krappilly animated thing in the Mk movies.
If they made Scorpion in the next film more like the way he looks in MkD, I think that would be an improvement.
They could have it as a snake still, but they'd have to make it more nasty!
.....Mmmmmm. I always thought the spear came out of his hand(wrong.)
Anyway, off-topic, Scorpion needs to kill someone with his Toasty move in the next film!

I, personally, like the video games' verson better. It always annoyed me when the snake came out of his hand. The first time I saw it, I laughed, but then it just started to tick me off. If they keep Scorpion's throwing spear in the next movie, I'll be happy. If they keep the living snake-spear, I'll have to make a visit to the director's home...

I think that its better if he throws it. They should have him throw it in the upcoming movie.
