Mortal Kombat 1 - Ed Boon and John Tobias Cameo

"During the fight scene between Art, then Johnny Cage and Prince Goro, the camera will keep turning to 2 of the enemy ninjas/soldiers/fighters whatever they are. You'll know them because they're both bare chested, and whenever the camera is on them they completely freak out and start cheering. They're in the front row in the arena, right outside the ring.
These two guys are Ed Boon and John Tobias, 2 guys who work at midway games, and originally came up with the idea of Mortal Kombat."

hey,man,first of welcome.
second of:HINT: if this is true post it on the first topic on this page and you'll have a good amount of DPs.
however i've noticed something similar...do you remeber the two guys that screams togheter(they seems twins) before Goro vs art lean and Cage vs Goro fights.beh i think that they looks like mk3 sub zero actor,john turk,
however i'm not sure.

sorry but that rumour is false. Those two guys look nothing like Boon and Tobias. Perhaps they are meant to be someone who the trainspotters would get, i don't know...

hmmm sorry guys but since we are on the topic of the first MK and I have not found this answer any where, who is this Master Boyd who Cage respects in the movie?

Master Boyd is just a character made for the movie. Although technically he never was in it in the first place given it's Shang Tsung pretending to be him. But yeah, I don't think Master Boyd is considered canon.

Mind you they could make him part of the game's story seeing the game doesn't really delve into Johnny Cage's martial arts schooling.
