I feel like this isnt serious. The author seems to know a little bit about Mortal Kombat, besides that it exists. She knows that there are realms and makes references to other lore throughout the article. It seems like if you know that, you probably know that Chun-Li is from a different franchise.

Not to mention the absurdist comments about this thing deserving two oscars and Scorsese watching the trailer fifteen times.

What's strange is, I didnt think Jezebel was a satire site, so I wonder why this was published. I may be cynical, but there is a pretty bad wedge between online feminist blogs and gamers, and I wonder if this was to rile up the people on the gamer side. It'd probably work, unfortunately.

There have been some pretty funny jokes to arise from this though.
