GREAT news for those hoping Linden Ashby will return as JOHNNY CAGE!

A source gave me the following info, it sounds legit:

I saw Linden Ashby on "Soap Talk" this morning being interviewed along with his wife, Susan Walters.

Regarding whether or not there was going to be a "Mortal Kombat 3", Linden said that "they're in legal negotiations and roundabouts", that he had read the script and thought it was good, that Johnny Cage was coming back, and implied, though he didn't actually say so, that he was going to play Johnny Cage once again!

And he looks great--every bit as hard and hot as he did when he played Johnny Cage in the first movie--maybe even more so!

No information regarding production or release dates, but it sounded like they're not even in pre-production yet.

Like my other Cage fan friend said, this is one of the best news IF its actually real. I REALLY hope to see Cage back and kick some ass. But people, we can be sure he wont be killed (again) cause that will suck and ruin his character (at least he wont die in the first 5 minutes of the film), but I think there could be chances that at the end, he will go back to heaven or something, or stay in earth as a mortal again.

Whatever happens I hope he does good work. It seems that the original heroes are all coming back.

There is a chance that at the end he'd go back to heaven like in MKT but I doubt that they'd bring him back to life and kill him again personally that'd be pretty gay.

Wow thats cool, It would be great to see Linden Play Cage agian, even if it was for 5 minutes. I liked what they did with Chris Conrad in MKA, As it followed the MK3 Story line. However I was disapointed they didnt use Linden Ashby.

It's great that they may bring back Cage but if it's another MK:A thing I think I'll kill someone. He MUST have a main role.

If Linden Ashby really returns, that would be cool. I don't think they can kill Johnny Cage again, I mean they killed him once, they're not gonna bring him back from death and kill him again, what would be the point?
I wounder...who's gonna be Sonya?

You can't say that Zentile. Actress to play Sonya is still unknown. What if it's likely Hess will not return?

You can't say that Zentile. Actress to play Sonya is still unknown. What if it's likely Hess will not return?



Hess will most likely return because she was Sonya in MKA, and I heard somewhere that she was confirmed? I'm not sure about this though.
I read somewhere that Hess wanted the role of Sonya in MK3, and that Larry Kasanoff wanted her to play Sonya in MK3 aswell.
