This has to be a joke. BUT, it's interesting enough I thought I would repost it here. Check this out. According to www.mortal-kombat.org:

Según declaraciones de John Carlton, uno de los productores ejecutivos de la serie: "Tras la buena acogida de los DVD de la primera temporada nos hemos visto obligados a traer de vuelta la serie. Esta nueva temporada de la serie ofrecerá a todos los fans la historia de la Deadly Alliance, Deception y Armageddon. Estamos muy contentos de haber traido de vuelta la serie después de tantos años."

¿Qué opinas de la noticia? ¿Es buena idea traer de vuelta Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Realm?

Absolutely not. In no way, shape, or form.

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to Mortal Kombat being adapted into some kind of animation....but Defenders of the Realm was God awful.

It's BS.

The DVDs are not available in the United States (just a few episodes released on VHS), and they're not going to bring a 13-year-expired series out of mothballs.

Plus, I highly doubt anyone from Midway would openly talk about something like this to a non-English MK fansite.

Personally, i didn't like DotR because it was almost nothing like MK (so almost everybody with zero training knows how to fly a jet, even a bunch of skeletons). if they make a second season, they should aim for teens like Justice League or something.

It would be good to keep MK in people's minds, especially all the young folk who don't really know MK that well.

And for all the shit that DOTR get, man I don't think it was actually that rotten. They got a lot of things right. They tried to deepen the characters of Ermac, Rain, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor... and it had a kickin' soundtrack.

I'd watch if DOTR came out with a season 2. Of course it would either have to cover the DA/Deception/Armageddon storyline because still keeping the whole "Shao Kahn trying to invade earthrealm" is kinda outdated. It was good for back then because it was shown when the MK3 trilogy was hot.
