Has Devastation been Annihlated?

Has anyone heard any news, or even invalid rumors for that fact, at all regarding the production of Mortal Kombat Devastation? Has news of production come to such a complete stop that even rumor and speculation have come to cease? Or has the notion of even creating another MK movie just been Anihlated....

Well, the movie is still in Post Production... but due to Hurricane Katrina, they have to sort of find another spot to film instead of Louisianna... where most of the filming was originally to be located.

The hurricane sound like a bad excuse to stop production. After all the first MK movie came out in 1995! Over 10 years ago! They could have made several MK movies by then. I think its scrapped. And if it's not the movie better not suck because they had 10 years to write the perfect story.

I, for one, would love to see another mortal kombat movie. As long as the characters are played by the same actors.
