MK:A is the product of greedy hollywood. One that says that it is ok to make a shit as long as you ake a quick buck. And my opinion is that it sould be absent from all conversation, and sould slip out of thought compleatly.

That's true...and even though the movie bit the big one...doesn't mean it should be completely ignored...if it was people wouldn't know what made it so horrible and how to fix those problems in MK3. Plus, it's still part of the trilogy, that's a fact any fan has to accept...even as much as I don't want to.

Tha's why it souldn't be a trilogy, don't you guys no how to cut off a limb when it gets infected. look the second one was as good as a power-rangers episode and the first wasn't good eough to keep the series going in the same direction. JUST MAKE THE NEXT MOVIE FRESH! forget about the last two and start over.

Despite the cheesy dialogue, cheap looking costumes, awful editing etc. there were some parts that were alright. The Scorpion vs Sub Zero fight, that although looked bad with the background and ninja costumes, still was a good fight. So was Smoke vs. Liu Kang...
True, it was a horrible film, and it still boggles my mind how they made the 1st MK for $20M and MKA for $30M. BUT there are some scenes worth remembering, and as some of u said - the makers of MK3 can look at the two previous movies and take the best of both.
So I don't think it should not be discussed, cus which is more fun - praising the 1s movie, or criticizing the 2nd...

You're right...but in a way I kinda see what King of Timbodia is talking about b/c if they did start over I think the movie would be a box-office smash. Not to mention they would know what would make the movie popular now that the first two weren't all that great(except for the first one which rocked i don't care what anyone says...that movie is a classic to me). Starting over would be cool...but still its always good to talk about both the movies b/c even tho Annihilation bit the big one...you gotta accept that its still part of the whole Mortal Kombat story, a truth that some people just can't handle.

The only way I can forget about MKA ever existing is for them to say in MK3 that MKA was just a false dream one of the main characters had. That way even though it is part of the apparent trilogy, they could make it look like it didn't really happen storywise either.

That's a possibility, but then that would be kinda calling the hardcore fans a lie, as in how they know how the mortal kombat story goes and how that would make it kinda worse. Also, it would seem kinda cheesy I think people would kinda figure out that they would be trying to make people forget about Annihilation.
