I was wondering about Mortal Kombat: Legacy...is it canon for the video game series?

Has it been confirmed? Or is it alternate universe? The thought's been going through my head and I can't recall if it's been said so in interviews or not.

Maybe vaguely. I'm sure things like, "How Kano lost his eye" won't actually be mentioned in the game itself, so there's no reason why that little story can't be considered canon, if there's nothing better out there.
Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero in a snowy forest though... Hmm... Yeah, if it contradicts MKM: Sub-Zero, then I won't be considering it canon.
