If any actor should return for MK3 from Mortal Kombat the movie, it's Chris Cassamassa.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY can play the role of Scorpion as flawlessly as he can.

His Red Dragon Karate is just badass.

I was pissed when he wasn't in Mk: Annihilation.

Yeah JJ Perry was a pretty good Sub-Zero in conquest, but I also think Francois Petit has MUCH potential to play Sub-Zero again.

He should just be given a fight where he ACTUALLY FIGHTS BACK lol.

JJ kicks ass. More than Cassamassa, imo.

JJ did also a good work on Cyrax's fighting.

Are you kidding me?

JJ Sucked ass playing Scorpion.

Chris Cassamassa's martial arts fits perfectly for Scorpion.

I remember when I was in the theatre watching Mortal Kombat.

The scene where Scorpion and Sub-Zero walked out of the door on the boat, I could just tell that Chris was putting a great amount of effort into playing the role.

JJ looked like he just threw on the costume and had a fight.

He just wasn't right for the role.

He would have made a better Sub-Zero.

Or Rain for that matter.

Just not Scorpion.

Speaking of Rain, the actor who played him in MK:A
looked Asian, but his name is Tyrone Wiggins, which doesn't sound Asian.

Whats the deal?

''JJ Sucked ass playing Scorpion.'' - How come? He had a pretty agressive face. And his fighting was great.

''Chris Cassamassa's martial arts fits perfectly for Scorpion.'' - Well, actually, Chris Cassamassa didn't coreographe(sp?) the Scorpion vs Cage fight, so it doesn't matter what Cassamassa's fighting style is. He just does what he is told to do.

''I remember when I was in the theatre watching Mortal Kombat.

The scene where Scorpion and Sub-Zero walked out of the door on the boat, I could just tell that Chris was putting a great amount of effort into playing the role.'' - What? Scorpion didn't do anything. His face wasn't even agressive(beside his contact lenses, but that takes no effort from the actor).

''JJ looked like he just threw on the costume and had a fight.'' - Again, I think you should re-watch the Scorpion vs Sub-Zero fight. His face was pretty agressive looking before the fight began.

''He just wasn't right for the role.

He would have made a better Sub-Zero.

Or Rain for that matter.

Just not Scorpion.'' - I agree though, Chris makes a better Scorpion than JJ Perry. Infact, I dont think JJ Perry's good for atual acting, since he sucks at it. He's an AWSOME martial artist though, and much better than Chris Cassamassa.

''Speaking of Rain, the actor who played him in MK:A
looked Asian, but his name is Tyrone Wiggins, which doesn't sound Asian.

Whats the deal?'' - Maybe his father was asian, and his mother was italian, or Black, or whatever.

Zentile, to say that JJ Perry is a better martial artist than Chris Cassamassa proves you've never seen Chris show his serious fighting skills.

He could easily do a standing back roundhouse kick over a 6 foot person.

Chris has won the following titles:

1988-89-90-92-93 Forms Grand Champion - California Grand Nationals
1989 Forms Grand Champion - Niagara Nationals, Canada
1990-91 Forms Grand Champion - World Pro-Am, Washington
1990 Forms Grand Champion - U.S.A. Nationals, North Carolina
1990 Forms Grand Champion - Mile High Championships, Denver
1991 Forms Grand Champion - Empire State Nationals, New York
1991 Forms & Weapons Grand Champion - Compete Nationals, Canada
1990-91-92-93 Forms Grand Champion - Ontario Grand Nationals, Canada
1992 Weapons Grand Champion - Compete Nationals, California
1992 Weapons Grand Champion - Bluegrass Nationals, Kentucky
1993 A.K.K.F. Hall of Fame Inductee - "Top Competitor in the 90's"
1993 A.K.K.F. Hall of Fame Inductee - "Instructor of the Year"

Chris Cassamassa is no joke when it comes to Martial Arts and he could school JJ Perry in a Martial Arts competition.

Actually, it's quite obvious by his stunts/moves that JJ Perry is by far a more flexible and athletic person than Chris Cassamassa.
Besides, what are titles anyway? Just because JJ Perry doesn't have that many titles( although I will list the ones he has in a few moments) doesn't mean he couldn't win them. He probably just didn't enter all those martial arts competitions, because he was busy with his carreer- he has been in tons of movies and tv shows, doing all sorts of stunts.
He's an incredibly athletic martial artist.

JJ Perry's list of titles:
OVER 24 YEARS EXPERIENCE
5TH DEGREE BLACK BELT IN TAE KWON DO

2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT IN HAPKIDO
1988 U.S. OLYMPIC TKD TEAM (ALTERNATE)

2 TIMES ALL ARMED FORCES CHAMPION
2 TIME ALL ARMY CHAMPION

2 TIME CALIFORNIA STATE CHAMPION
TEXAS STATE CHAMPION

2 TIME NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIAN
ALL MARTIAL ARTS WEAPONS

Cassamassa may have alot of titles, but they dont ''make'' him a better fighter than Perry. Titles and awards are NOTHING.

Stunt crew resume:

V.I.P.(1998)
Blade(1998)
Batman & Robin(1997)
China O' Brien 2(1991)
Black Eagle 2(1988)

He has done much acting in his career and still won all of those titles.

JJ Perry being "too busy" with his career to win as many titles is no exuse.

Chris Cassamassa is ranked in the top 10 greatest Martial Artists in the world.
Chris Casamassa now ownes 25 Martial Arts schools in California and teaches regularly at his school in Covina.

JJ Perry isn't in the top ten nor does he own as many schools (if any at all).

And I'm not saying JJ sucks as a Martial Artist, don't get me wrong JJ is awesome, but he's not up there with Chris Cassamassa.

Therefore Chris Cassamassa wins.

JJ Perry has done A LOT more. I wont list all the shows and movies he was in, because they are really just too many. Probably more than twice the number of shows and movies Chris Cassamassa was in.
And Chris Cassamassa doesn't ''win''. This is a matter of taste. I think JJ Perry is a better martial artist than Chris Cassamassa, dispite his resume and list of titles. You think Chris Cassamassa is a better martial artist despite JJ Perry's much more obvious flexible body and athletic phisique.
No one ''wins'' anything.

This isn't a matter of taste, it's a matter of FACT.

And I will now list all of JJ's stunts and acting portions of his career.

Resume

Daredevil (2003)
Time Cop 2 (2002)
The President's Man: A Line in the- Sand (2002)
The President's Man (2000)
The Silent Force (2000)
The Rage Within (1999)
Wild Wild West (1999)
Best of the Best 4 (1998)
Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998)
Enter the Eagles (1998)
Blade (1998)
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) American Streetfighter 2 (1997)
Deadly Ransom (1997)
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Santa with Muscles (1996)
Drive (1996)
The Glimmerman (1996)
Nash Bridges (1996)
Bloodsport 3 (1996)
Vanishing Son (1995)
Mortal Kombat 1 (1995)
Best of the Best 3 (1995)
Fist of the North Star (1995)
Duckman (1994)
Walker, Texas Ranger (1993)
Best of the Best 2 (1993)
Renegade (1992)
They Still Call Me Bruce (1987)
Pray for Death (1985)
----
Johnny X (????)
The Rematch (????)
Sunland Heat (????)

Now while this looks like it's more than what Chris Cassamassa has done, it's not.

Chris did a weekly martial arts show called WMAC masters which lasted according to some sources, a little over a year.

And you can't say that JJ Perry is more "athletic"
than Chris Cassamassa because you have never seen Chris Cassamassa in action.

And Chris being in the top ten greatest Martial Artists in the world makes it a FACT not a different taste but a FACT that Chris Cassamassa is a MUCH more skilled Martial Artist than JJ Perry.

Nothing you can say or show me will ever change that.

Until JJ is up there in the top 10, he's got nothing on Chris.

What makes you think I've never seen Chris in action?
I have, and I can tell you that JJ Perry is far more agile and flexible than he is.

JJ. Perry => Sub Zero
Chris => Scorpion

Those are the roles who fits the most well.

*shrug*

what does the amount of scools or tournaments got to do with their martial arts? These things are not just the matter of skill, they're the matter of what these people prefer to do with their time.

I dunno if JJ was busy or just didn't give a damn about some titles more or less. He obviously had a reason not to bother with the tournaments.

You're right it doesn't have to do with their Martial Arts, but being in the Top 10 does.

And like I said in my previous post, until JJ is in the top ten with Chris Cassamassa, he's got nothing Chris.

Thats the whole point I'm trying to make.

No, because the reason Cassamassa is considered one of the best martial artists in the world (and I'm just taking your word for it, I haven't done any research to know if you are actually telling the truth) is because he has all those titles. I'm pretty damn sure that if Perry would start participating in tournaments he'd gain lots of titles in no time. He's very, very good, and he IS more agile and athletic than Cassamassa, you can tell by his stunts.
If you want, you can keep shoving Cassamassa's titles and awards in my face, but that doesn't help, because like I said, they mean nothing because Perry wasn't competing agaisn't Chris in those tournaments.
