awesome but that sucks, no earlier then 2005, if they were smart they would release it around the same time that Mk:D is realsed because that game is going to do well, so new comers to Mk who play the game will want to see the movie. But owell aleast we know now that a movie is still coming

I hope Sandra or Bridgtee Wilson play Sonya.

Or some awesome chick like Cameron Diaz (who was originally going to play Sonya).

I read not too long ago that Trish Stratus was supposed to play Sonya. Don't know if thats bullshit or what but thats what I read.

Our thanks to MK Online Network member Shinnokxz of the Unofficial Mortal Kombat 3 Movie Page for the heads-up on this story!

ReikoJr is actually the user that alerted to Shinnokxz to this, it can be seen in the thread he posted not long ago in this forum (Or click here).

I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding, but I thought I'd point it out smile.

Anyhow, that's great news. After all, it's been a long time before we heard anything even close to concrete about the MK3 movie.

Lynn Red Williams is among the cast?!?!

I really hope he took some serious acting lessons since MKA.

Well that's good news I suppose. I just hope there'll be lots of great fighting scenes, good acting, a great story and of course have that Mortal Kombat ambience. Then again, one can't expect perfection but I just hope that this movie will be good and hopefully better than the first two Mortal Kombat movies.....

Since Cage is in the movie, he'll likely be in deception, too. Finally, the movie is finally starting up production!

2005 will so be a great year for movies. And I only know of Star Wars: Episode III and Mortal Kombat 3! I so can't wait.

Lynn "Red" Williamsn again? Why are they asking him back? I don't know if I'll like him in MK3. I didn't like him in MKA. He couldn't act and he made Jax look more like a street thug from the hood rather than a military man.
Sorry but that's not a good sign to me.

I would still recommend Wesley Snipes as Jax.

I liked Williams in MKA-- he was one of the only characters I liked in that film.

At least we know it's still in production, so that's cool. I just really really hope they don't mess it up like MKA.

Last time I checked, Lynn Red Williams didn't write or direct MKA.

That's true--it was his lines/outfit that made him look ....uh.... let's just say "un-military like." :) To be honest, I still don't know if he can actually act... but he did have his moments in MKA. Give the guy a chance.
