oh my gosh that was the BIGGEST pile of poo,
i didnt read all of it but what i did was pants,
what i did reed was wrong,
#1- kahn was in the first film (right at the end).
#2-johnny did do his shadow kick in the first film at scorpion.(in the woods)
if they could'nt even get their facts right why bother writhing such a pile of shit,

Still, It stated what was wrong in the movie...and
1) kahn was in the first movie but not as a human it was some crappy ass CGI
2) Johnny did use his shadow kick in the first movie, but the one in the second looked way worse, just admit it already.
3) They hit every nail on the head about every single thing that was wrong wit MK:A
....yes, its a little tedious, but in my opinion that's what makes the whole thing so damn funny, its also funny, but its TRUE...c'mon try to argue with any one of those points they make...and tell me that what they are saying doesn't make a lick of sense...i could try, but i'd be lying.

This review was perfect. It completely captured almost every reason why I hate Annihilation. Also, it was quite humorous, at least for me, the writers pen was put into vitriol of the finest this time.

Oh my god, i have read that entire piece of shit.

We all know that tastes vary from person to person. Take two movie obsessed no sociallife geeks and let them comment on things they have no fucking clue about.

But I do have to agree with some parts of their comments, it all looked cheesy and the effects were horrible. Probably due to the low budget.
The director that directed this movie has never directed anything in his life, he had almost no budget, low class actors, a piece of crap script, no wonder it wasn't a succes. hell...even Spielberg couldn't have made this better.

But it's clear to me that they havent MK once. Cyrax and Smoke get dissed alot but they looked amazing, just like in the game. If she played the game only once she could have known that Cyrax shoots about a net, and a whobbly whatever. The caracters are based on game entities, but these idiots think they are so fucking cool and just start trash talking. Scorpion is an undead ninja, so what, he is it in the game, so he is in the movie? If you ever played the game you would know.

That dumbass chick had to look up the name of Baraka....Hello!!! Just admit that you have no clue about what you are talking about.

But I agree it was a bad movie, but the way these pathic bed-wetters do it its insane if you compare every movie to eachother.

I would like to tell them to get a social life and stop dissing movies that they have no clue about. There is a whole world out there, discover it please!!!

A lot of people don't know a lot about Mortal Kombat, but that doesn't mean that when(oops let me correct) IF, the new movie comes out that people who haven't played not one MK game won't go see it, because a lot of people will probably see it. Movie critics almost never are a fan of whatever movie/genre they're reviewing so why would Mortal Kombat: Annihilation be any different...oh and you're mistaken only the girl never played Mortal Kombat, the other guy said Raiden and Johnny Cage were his favorite characters from both the games and the first movie.

Can I ask? Why does everyone take the comments in that review so personally? lol I don't care if you are a die hard fan, because I am too, but if u know how bad Annihilation sucked you can pretty much get over it soon enough to realize that they are completely right. Yea they are some cheesy geeks talkin about a genre they have never really talked about before, but for crying out loud they know what made the movie so damn STUPID!!!! they obviously know a lot about movies(as you can tell)...but that's okay since some people jes gotta be a lil too sensitive ill point out the main points they captured without the cheesy dialog....

1) Outworld Invading - Its like the writers denied the possibility that we wouldn't recognize that since Shao Kahn's forces invaded and broke the rules that the whole first movie was MEANINGLESS and Liu went through all that for almost nothing!
2) Lightning sounded really fake unlike in the first movie
3) Johnny, Sonya, and Raiden were both replaced(accounts for 50% of movie's demise)
4) Brian Thompson was not scary at all!!!! If you were afraid of him, then I guess you wet your pants when Cary Tagawa portrayed Shang Tsung
5) Movie never established Shao Kahn as the supreme villain soon enough which was confusing to new viewers
6) Cheesy Dialog - enough said
7) Bluescreening is HORRIBLE
8) Johnny Cage, the one who basically carried the first movie, was killed in less than 15 minutes of the movie. Remember this is the guy who beat GORO dammit!
9) You can tell that James Remar isn't remotely close matching Christopher Lambert's performance in the first movie.
10) Used great plot vehicles, just didn't use them correctly.
11) "Velosphere" scene was completely inept. Underminded the audience...like we wouldn't notice that you can't travel through the earth like that without DYING!!!!!!! 1000 degree temp. no oxygen! HELLO?!?!
12) You really couldn't figure out who Shinnok was until almost the end of the movie...bummer for new viewers.
13) Kitana's fan use was limited...the sound quality or i.e. (clang!) of her weapons was mysteriously bad.
14) I thought they were lying at first, but you really can see the cables that yank Liu up from his awkward backflip trying to dodge Smoke's blast.
15) Sub-Zero's outfit looked like a halloween costume.
16) Unsupported and incosistent character motivations - as in Scorpion delivering Kitana to Kahn, but not being on Kahn's side...okay so where was he in the final battle...A guy who's fight was a classic in the first movie, gets reduced to one measely battle with Sub-Zero's brother? WHATEVER!!!! SO STUPID!!!!
17) Not to mentions Scorpion and Sub-Zero's fight isn't long at all.
18) Believability - Liu doesn't help Sub-Zero until after he's merely hanging on by a fingertip.
19) Please tell me how Raiden knew Jax was at an abandoned military facility and why was it abandoned...the audience needs to know if the plot is to come off successful.
20) No one establishes the connection between Jax and Sonya...ignoring anybody new to the series.
21) Truth be told...military facility...guys with guns against hand to hand combat.....can u say good case of unbelievability?

an actually good quote for the movie from me...yes, both smoke and cyrax looked good in the movie...they're costumes were a little too bright...like power rangers, but nonetheless good characters.

22) Rain and Ermac's costumes were poorly done.
23) Kahn killed Rain b/c he didn't make Kabal and Stryker beg for their lives besides the fact that he had more kills than anyone at this point including KAHN HIMSELF!....just plain stupid
24) Desert scene with Nightwolf was done on a sound stage, but they could've put a little more effort.
25) Liu never passed all three test, neither do we find out what the third test was, which underminds the audience yet again!
26) You still never find out who Mileena was or why even after the fight in the mud with Sonya.
27) Raiden's makeover
28) Reptile was supposed to be the last of his race, but yet there are three more in this film and they constantly play peek-a-boo with Raiden...weird and pointless.
29) Baraka's costume was the SUPREME WORST.
30) They kill off Sheeva without a fight = useless character
31) Whatever CGI dragon that ate Jade was completely stupid and the burp was pointless.
32) Kahn's Cape appears again after taking it off once before.
33) ANIMALITY....omg...i don't even wanna speak on it.
34) instead of having one climatic scene...the movie had to have 4 or 5 going on at once, leaving most viewers confused and irritated.
35) just a note: this movie is on IMDB's bottom 100 list.
36) The reason Mortal Kombat: The first movie worked was because it managed to resist limiting itself to the established fan base. The story and characters were all simple and straightforward, leaving the viewer free to enjoy the on-screen butt-whooping free of lingering doubts and unanswered questions

Wow for two "movie obsessed no sociallife geeks" they sure know a lot about what made this movie go wrong. I don't know them so I'll refrain from callin them such, but A LOT of people seem to agree(myself included). interesting. O well I guess I'm naive for believing what they are sayin is true huh? o but wait...it kinda is...isn't it? lol

The fact of the matter is, Frikandel, that the MK movies aren't made just for the fans of the games. You can't expect EVERYBODY to know that Cyrax ''shoots a net'', because in the movie, he doesn't. That's just not a net. It's a green wobbly thing. How are the MOVIE REVIEWERS (that's what they do. review movies) expected to know about the games? They don't review games. They call 'em like they see 'em, and if I didn't know about MK, I would've never guessed Cyrax shot a net in the movie, or that his name was Cyrax, for that matter. Or Baraka's name.
Why are they losers? You're the one who feels it's common knowledge to know that Cyrax, the yellow cyborg assassin from the Lin Kuei, shoots a green net out of his chest. Not calling you a loser.... just sayin'.
Also, Johnny Cage's ''shadow kick'' from the first movie is such bullshit. When I heard about him doing it in the first movie, I thought ''what? When the hell did he do the move?'' so I watched it again, and it was pointed out to me that the kick he does to Scorpion just as Scorpion teleports them both to his lair with a SHADOW EFFECT, was considered the shadow kick. I just thought ''what...? That was Scorpion's teleportation''. The effect is all over Scorpion and Johnny, not just behind Johnny's leg. While in MKA Johnny clearly jumps in the air and is the single only cause of the shadow effect.
I don't consider the first movie's shadow kick to be a valid one.

You're right the shadow kick in the first movie wasn't really all that much of a shadow kick, more of a flying kick, but rest assured a kick nonetheless. In my opinion, the shadow kick in Annihilation looked kinda chessy due to bad effects throughout the whole movie.

The shadowkick, along with Kahn's shoulder tackle and his ''Star of David blast of Doom'' (I guess Kahn is jewish in the movie) were retarded references to the videogames that didn't make sense. They did it just for the hell of it.

Just before the final battle Shao Kahn shots that green fire-ball to kill Raiden, but didn’t shooted against Liu, Sonya, Kitana or Jax to END the battle. I GUESS Kahn had some reload fire-powers issue, but they ALSO forgot to explain that.

That's true enough. Who knows, I guess they could cover it up saying he wanted to beat Liu with his natural power, but I guarantee that if Liu was kickin my ass like that I would've thrown those lil green skulls like roger clemens throws a fastball.
