The cover art is the same that you can find on Blu-ray's web site. The case was an eco-case and the only thing extra was a sticker on front that said New Live-Action series or something. No trailers or any WB promos on disc, just goes straight to disc menu. Overall, as expected and as a continuing trend from any MK team, the Blu-ray disappoints.

Each episode is in the same format and time they appeared online (I assume uncensored - I was only logging times and watched the beginning and end for each episode). That means the same short prologues before the title and the extra long credit sequence per episode. You can choose to Play all or view each episode individually. Only buy this BR if you want the 1080p versions of these episodes but keep in mind the sound is not in TrueHD or anything higher than Dolby 5.1 (most BRs use 7.1 or higher).

The Blu-ray menu system is very simple - it's pretty much the SDCC room key with menu options on the bottom, like what we seen in the MK BR releases. The options are Play, Languages (Spoken/Subtitles), Episodes (with only the names of the characters, no "Episode 1") and Special Features, which might as well just be called "Behind the Scenes," an unnecessary segmented behind-the-scenes documentary and a very short one at that.

The Special Features are listed as such:

Expanding the NetherRealm - 10:03 This was a nice overview the the production process of the series. The entire series was shot in 18 days, presumably 1 episode per 2 days. They made good use of green screens throughout and even used some motion capture (namely the Sektor/Cyrax episode). Not much else is new.

Fights - 15:33 Basically about the same way fights were done for the 1995 movie but Kevin added dance choreography.

Fan-Made - 5:09 - This felt like a summary of "Expanding the NetherRealm" and focused on Kevin's vision, plus mixed some video game play.

Gear - 4:12 - This focused on all the weapons used in Legacy and how they worked. Also video gameplay footage made appearances.

Mysticisim - 5:17 - This is Kevin pretty much saying "I stuck to the mysticism but wanted to change it up a bit." He really pissed me off when he assumed a lot of people wouldn't remember the story and that he could get by with some liberties.

Honestly, these felt like segments of what should have been one featurette, with titles similar to the "Behind the Dragon" documentary. They also felt like they were out of order... Fan-Made should have been first, then Mysticism, then Expanding..., then Fights and finally Gear. IMO

Total Time: A whopping 40:14. Thanks Kevin for all the fight stuff you promised us and never actually delivered (although he did mention he wanted Sub-Zero to have an ice sword and showed us some of that fight).

Thankfully Amazon sold this for $13.99 - Best Buy is selling it for $14.99 and doesn't even have it out front - you'll find it with the other 2 MK blu-rays, currently on sale for $9.99 each/ Plus, Legacy was given to them in limited quantities like the Inspired by the Warriors album.

Don't pay any more than $14. Not worth it - Youtube has more special features than this BR.

Here are the times from the episodes on disc:

1- 12:18
2- 9:02
3- 11:41
4- 9:09
5- 8:17
6- 12:39
7- 10:33
8- 7:56
9- 10:20

for a total whopping time of 91:55, or 1hour, 31 minutes, 55 seconds.

Including Special Features for a total time of roughly 2 hours, 11 minutes. It all good have fit on a DVD-DL disc and still given use the 1080p at a fraction of the cost!!!

lol Kevin thought he could get away a few liberties. When you have to start an episode with a "disclaimer(Raiden's Episode) you know you f*cked up big time.

They actually kept the Special Forces, Kitana & Mileena and Scorpion and Sub-Zero episodes separate? That kinda sucks, they should've just merged the double episodes into one big episode, to avoid credits and stuff like that in between. EDIT: Got my copy today. The quality is amazing. Even though I ripped the Youtube videos at 1080p, the compression added a lot of artifacts. This is obviously flawless. The special features were a great touch. Almost worth the price all on their own. Especially since they're in HD, unlike most Blu-Rays, which just haphazardly toss the special features on the disc at 480p.
